Whenever we come to Canberra we always stay here and are happy

The staff were great, nothing was a bother. Would stay again.

Had a very pleasant stay at Ibis Styles Canberra Eaglehawk. The location is great—peaceful and convenient, making it a perfect stop for families and travellers alike. The rooms were clean, tidy, and well-maintained, which made our stay very comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Soundproofing between rooms was poor. Air Conditioner in the next room made so much noise it was difficult to sleep. I had to turn the fridge off each night because it was so noisy. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was like a hurricane. The room was clean, but the place is like a maze making it very difficult to find your room.

Plenty of room to move around with our family outside. Room had plenty of space. Bed extra comfy. Neat and tidy. Would recommend to anyone wanting cheap accommodation for family staying in Canberra

Clean room but no hot water and extremely good chance staff knew. Had to cut stay short because they were full and couldn't give us another room with hot water

Used to stay here often when kids were little 30 years ago. As for the room not much has changed?! Room maintenance leaves a lot to be desired, although room was clean and bed comfy. When booking website advertised buffet breakfast and great restaurant. No buffet but could only choose 4 items from the cooked menu. Restaurant not open that week. Wouldn't stay agsin and wouldnt recommend.

Took 15 minutes to find the staff that had left the front desk to have a chat with their boyfriend in the restaurant that was closed. Even when I found her the call couldn’t stop. Went into my room to have tea and coffee they provide mugs but no tea spoons. I found a dirty microwave to use with a clean up after yourself sign but nothing to clean with. Shampoo and conditioner had huge bottles that were empty. Cheap rundown accommodation that have saved on staff and ammenities very impressive staff that have no interest in being there

I never enjoy giving a negative review but I do feel I should mention some disappointing aspects of our stay. We have stayed at this hotel on at least 5 previous occasions but for this stay our experience was very different. We looked forward to being able to eat at the restaurant for dinner but was told the restaurant and bar was closed for a month, we didn’t receive notification of this prior to check-in. We were told to go to the pub next door which we did on the first night of our 3 night stay, while we were not disappointed in the food at the pub the noise was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation without raising our voice. We did not see housekeeping during our stay. I tried to retrieve something that had fallen under the bedside table and the wooden table fell apart narrowly missing my face but hitting my arm. The WiFi hardly worked in the room, anytime we tried either it didn’t work at all or buffeted so badly we stopped trying. On a brighter note the breakfast was good with a decent selection except for coffee from the coffee machine.

Feels rundown

There was no hot water, there was no mobile service, and the wifi was terrible. The pool was filthy and the grounds and gardens were poorly maintained. We had kids from a nearby room playing knock and run on our door the morning of check out which led to a confrontation with the kids parents. Staff did nothing to assist. I am 50 years old and have travelled exensivley in Australia for work and please, and overseas. This was the worst place I have ever stayed and will never visit again nor recommend to anyone.

Excellent for a an overnight stay while passing through- the room was clean and comfortable. The check in staff fantastic. The grounds of the resort aren’t in the best condition

Very spacious rooms

We were greeted by the confusion of the room numbering system, which in our experience was not very clear at all. As we happened to check in during a storm, we then had to find our room through streams of water rushing past us as we tried to open our doors in ankle deep water. The water was leaking into our front entry and was damp the entire time of our stay. We tried using the 1x coin operated dryers (20c and $1 only) which cost $5 to get 45 minutes usage. When our clothes were not remotely dry, I tried asking at front desk, if this was the best that the dryer could do, he just kept repeating he would talk with a technician the next day and that I wasn't listening to him. Very unhelpful and irritating staff response. The next day the only solution for the maintenance person to fix the dirty and muddy walkways, was to use a blower for the whole day. After he had apparently finished there was still big clumps of dirt and dust all over the pathways to our room as he didn't seem to want to use a broom or a shovel to remove it that way? We finally discovered that the only microwave in the place was in the laundry room, which was one of the smallest microwaves that Kmart sells. Otherwise, the amenities are very run down and whole place needs an upgrade.
