Definitely not a resort. Drains smelt like sulfer (egg smell) No coffee/tea supplied in room Felt like we walked into a serial killers lair. Ants everywhere Linen old and oddly prickly Not recommended for the comfort Definitely overpriced Staff on arrival - very friendly

Funky motel with 70ies decor, just to get you into the right mood for blue sky mining of a by-gone time.

Good air conditioning. Clear room. Lovely rich wooden panelling in room 4 (very 70's). Nobby's bar and grill on site was convenient but average. Would stay again if at good price.

Firstly I booked a room with queen and two single beds and was given Queen and one single bed. We got changes to a room with three single beds, however there was a terrible smell which we couldn’t get rid of. Very disappointing.

Older room but plenty of room and good inclusion which helped to us being contained.

I realise Lightning Ridge is a very remote outback town, however The room was very dusty which is not good for allergy sufferers and asthmatics. Under the bed was rubbish including a cigarette lighter.

Nice room in a great open plan complex. The room was comfortable with usual items. Toater, microwave and fridge. My one tiny complaint is that we had plates and cups, but only cutlery was two knives. The complex is right in town and has it's own pub, bistro and bottleshop. There is also a caravan park section for those bringing their own accommodation. Staff where nice and helpful.

We lived in a motel. You can clearly hear the noise from the next room. There is no tables or chairs in the room. A small bench with two extremely high and uncomfortable stools in the room. Four of us had to stand around the bench for breakfast. There is only a double bed and one single when we paid for 4 people. The kids slept in a single bed. I still gave 2 stars because it is the outback, where at least we had a bed to sleep and a roof to keep safe. We cannot expect more than that. If you are tight on budget, it is not a bad option. We had no choice because there were no other places available. By the way, the pub steak was the best.
