Easy and convenient to get to.

A nice clean and spacious room. A nice spot outside to sit and enjoy a cup of tea. Ground floor units with car spot in front. The bed was comfortable. A great location near a hotel and bistro. Located just off the highway.

The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbour's conversation.

We were there for 2 nights and it was exactly what we expected. Comfortable room. Dated decor but all you need. The bed was good/average but otherwise central to the Bowlo main pub in town for a meal. Has a pub attached to accomm also which did food.

The welcome we received was gracious and friendly, the room was great apart from the curtain not closing all the way.

The water was a problem, with e coli present (notices were posted about it not being drinkable) and a concerning smell - but this was a town-wide problem, and not unique to the caravan park.

The staff were so friendly and explained everything well. Very quiet and had a great nights sleep

Old and quirky style room Freezer iced over no door which means didn’t freeze and things fell out No shower curtain so water went everywhere on floor so very slippery

Outdated and in need of modernisation. Safety rails needed urgently in shower. Quite unsafe.

Check in staff were great but didn’t explain much just where room was. Would be nice to hear verbally about the evolution issue and where to buy water etc…

Felt the whole accommodation needed some attention. Location fine, easy reach to all activities and tourist locations. Bed quite comfortable, no shower curtain, floor got very wet. Curtains needed attention, one was ripped, others needed fixing. Had everything as advertised, although kitchenette very cramped. OK for 2 night visit.

The air con was good worked well. The room was dark. The walls between rooms seemed very thin as next door room arrived late and we could hear every word.The staff were very helpful when my husband left the key to our room inside.

Our initial room was clean, spacious, quiet, a comfortable bed, microwave, under counter fridge, kettle and toaster. Parking close to room. However we had a problem with the shower pressure so had to change rooms. The staff facilitated this immediately and were very happy to do so. This room again had the same things albeit a smaller fridge. Also had a flyscreen door which is useful in Lightning Ridge. The pub is on the same premises as the accommodation and has a number of places to sit including a large outdoor area and everyone we met we found to be very friendly. We didn’t use the pool this time, but did on our previous visit and it was clean and is a nice area to sit. The on site restaurant is only open for dinner and has a limited menu, so we chose to eat out one night at the local bowling club which is within easy walking distance. The staff there are very friendly and helpful and the menu large and varied. We have stayed at The Outback Resort before and so yes we would return again.

Floors were very dirty in the rooms with carpet tiles only partially covering the floor. Couldn’t walk barefoot on to the carpet from the bathroom as you picked up all the dirt from the floor.

Good place to stay and great location for looking around Lightning Redge.
