Perfect for our 5 day tradeshow at the convention centre.
Big rooms, very big bathroom with decent hot water and easy parking within walking distance of the fair (only on the weekends is it all day parking which seems to be the norm in Melbourne).
Area is quiet and not traffic jammed

I've stayed at the Lily Sands numerous times. The only criticism I have is that the TV reception is terrible. it keeps dropping out on multiple channels.

Had to change room as Air Conditioning was making very loud noises. Rooms very cold on arrival. AC too small for space and struggles to heat the space. Kettle plugged into power board with fridge. Lead not long enough so kettle balances on edge of bench. No chair to sit in.
“Kitchen” on each floor. Dishwasher full of dirty dishes - no detergent tablets. Also toaster, microwave and kettle.

Really comfortable bed, clean property, very warm and friendly welcome.
The bathroom was updated and very spacious, great shower. Just a little dark so putting on make-up or seeing details on the face was difficult - maybe they could look to improve the bathroom task-lighting when they next get around to any alterations/updates in future. Overall very positive experience. Parking was also a breeze.

Great location with city views. The staff were really friendly, we were given a free room upgrade which was a nice surprise. Basic but nice breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals ect. We enjoyed our stay.

Reception was closed on arrival which was during the day but someone came in to help with check in. Disappointed that the booking stated breakfast was included which was one reason for choosing this hotel but was told no breakfast during the week. Room is quite small but clean. Would call it more a shared accommodation situation than hotel - did not see any staff the whole time. Noisy with doors constantly being opened and closed loudly, particularly if sleeping in a room above the exit doors. Adequate for the price and convenient location open space, lightrail, markets etc.
