Good staff and clean accommodation close to the airport

It’s great for a couple of nights and the hotel below is really good

We needed a room for an early morning flight the following day. The accommodation was extremely basic, no shampoo, no hair dryer, ultra small bathroom. The view out of the window was of the roof which unfortunately can’t be changed even if the room was renovated. There is no lift so you have to carry your bags upstairs. We would not stay here again and not recommend it. On saying that, the restaurant where we ate dinner that evening was outstanding and would highly recommend. It’s such a shame the accommodation is so poor as it would be great for country people like us to use before an early morning flight - in future we will stay elsewhere.

Clean, spacious room but a little dated. Reasonably quiet considering it's a pub. Close to the airport.

I stayed at this pub hotel in Adelaide in February 2026 and unfortunately it was a pretty disappointing experience overall. The room itself was an odd shape, which made it very impractical. Cupboards and drawers were essentially unusable because they were blocked by the bed, and the furnishings felt tired and outdated. The view didn’t help either — just the roof of the pub covered in air conditioning units — and there was constant noise from the hotel music, which made it hard to properly relax. Check-in was unnecessarily complicated and confusing. Staff seemed unsure of the process, and to make matters worse, they mixed up two completely separate bookings in our group simply because two guests shared the same first name. It didn’t inspire much confidence. Access to the rooms was another challenge. The only way up was via a narrow, winding staircase, which made carrying luggage difficult and inconvenient. The overall atmosphere is clearly geared more toward people looking to sit, drink all day, listen to loud music, and play the pokies. If that’s what you’re after, this place might suit you. But for a comfortable and well-managed hotel stay, it falls short. Meals were standard pub fare — nothing particularly memorable — yet priced at the higher end. Staff were generally too busy to be helpful and didn’t seem able to distinguish between hotel guests and regular patrons. All in all, not a place I’d choose to stay again.

Staff were fantastic, meals and bar facilities were first class, the only small complaint was the loud music from a private function on Saturday night making it hard to sleep Overall our stay there was excellent, the new accommodation to be built in the future will make this Hotel a 10/10 to stay at Well done to all the staff at Lockleys Hotel for your kind and friendly service

Big thank you to Rose on reception , there were issues with our reservation ( due to earlier “human error” ) she resolved them perfectly . Room was clean however very shoddily furnished . Property requires AUD $150.00 bond on check in , wow I’ve stayed in 4* plus where they only put a $ hold . Close to shops and airport .
