great place

Old hotel but nice staff

All good for the price, regular brakfast some staff nice 1 receptionist kind of rude (fred) other than him all nice

We have stayed at the Fireside Inn many times over the years and I think it is looking old and not maintained as well as it should be. The staff were very accommodating at Tom's Place and Bistro Stefan in the morning (only open for breakfast during the week). There are no movies available on the tv in the room and our tv was at 82 in volume one morning, like it was possessed.

Most of our stay was enjoyable; however, the breakfast items were somewhat sub-standard (Cold muffins, hot dogs instead of breakfast sausages, two-item fruit salad) The room was clean and comfortable. Entranceways from Princess Street need to be fixed, as there are many potholes.

Room was very clean and loved the coziness of the fireplace in there.only problem was sleeping. Bed was a little too hard and the pillows way too big. It would be nice to have thinner pillows

The bar called Toms place was great! Great atmosphere and great service.

Available breakfast was good.

I love the rustic decor - real wood - cozy and warm. Food and service in the pub was excellent. My only complaint - the vending machine ate my $4.00 when I was having a snack attack at 0100h. Probably didn't need the chips anyway. LOL Lovely place with lots of parking for full-size trucks.

All the staff were wonderful from front desk to breakfast attendant.

Room was out dated and in poor condition. Wall plug sparked a lot when I tried to plug in my charger. They stuck us next to laundry room which was noisey. Internet was terrible. Bed was old and uncomfortable.

Breaksfast had a good selection of everything and the bar was very cozy n friendly. I loved my 2 day stay

Hotel is a little older. Mini fridge ‘hummed’, t.v. took a few minutes to get to work properly, had an issue with a smoke detector, had to adjust the toilet so the water would stop running. I found it odd that the coffee maker & accessories were located in the washroom. I went to move these out of washroom but coffee machine was plugged in through the bathroom counter. Bed was comfortable. Room & hotel were clean. The complimentary breakfast was great! The dining area was beautiful. There was a good selection of food/ drinks to choose from & nicely laid out. Food was very good. Staff in dining area were wonderful, friendly, helpful. Front desk staff were friendly.

good breakfast . was the same each day but multiple options of what to get. Fellow running it was amazing.

The Stefan restaurant had a wonderful meal a-la-cart that was well worth the cost. The wait staff was very professional. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. There is not elevator to the second floor which is not convenient.

The room was very clean and comfortable, staff were very nice. Breakfast was standard and average. Sadly booked while there was a ton of kids running and screaming all weekend but it is what it is.

Great location, but very run down and carpets were very stained or dirty. Breakfast was as expected, although not as nice as most of the comparable Confort Inn type breakfasts.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean but needs some updating. Breakfast was not replenished often.

internet was ok; didn’t really use it much as we were un town for a wedding. When we checked in around 3:30 pm, we were hardly settled in our room when numerous out-of-control children were yelling and playing tag in the 2nd floor hallway, down the entire length of the hallway and frequently right outside our room. I’m not sure if there was a team sport tournament in town, or a bunch of families travelling together, but it was evident the adults needed parenting skills. I was prepared to go to the front desk to complain, but thankfully they seemed to leave to go for a meal almost at the same time we did. When we returned after the wedding, the adults we assumed belonged to the feral children earlier were drinking and socialising in the stairwell right inside the east entrance, but thankfully a couple of doors prevented us from hearing the noise. The facilities were fine— a bit dated, but quite clean with the usual necessities. Couldn’t seem to find a channel guide for the tv, but again, we weren’t in the room much to really have it matter. It might be helpful for future guests, though. Check in/out was efficient, no complaints.
