Nice new hotel, however area is still a bit scetchy.

Nice stylish room. Parking at the time was easy and convenient using the nearby underground facilities. I would visit again.

Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom/ walk in shower. Quiet - always get a good sleep here.

Before arrival i had asked for early check-in and they were ready for us. Great expedited check-in and very pleasant front desk.

I slept really well in a super comfy king-sized bed. The room was ultra clean, quiet, and I liked the ease of manipulating the room temperature and the hassle-free tv/ streaming options. I loved the ultra-modern huge bathroom, with an extra-large shower and full amenities. The only thing I didn't like was the fact there was no real cream or milk for my tea/coffe (just the horrible chemical-tasting non-dairy creamer one associates with cheap motels) adn no brown sugar. I did ask for some cream at the restaurant, and a lovely lady was kind enough to give me a few creamers for my coffee. When I made the same request the next day for a drop of milk for my tea, I was told I had to purchase a full carton of milk from the fridge. (almost $5). All I needed was a few drops for my morning cup of tea! Also, I was a little shocked to have to pay almost FOUR DOLLARS for a small pkt of Sunchips. They are approx. $1.28 in convenience/grocery stores. Seems like a bit of an excessive mark-up!. I would have put them back but I'd already munched on a couple! Apart from this, overall a great stay at a lovely hotel. Thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. (Apart from the guy who charged me for the carton of milk! Ha ha).

It was a great location and easy to walk around. The Bistro had excellent food and staff. However, I was very disappointed in the cleaning of the room. I had to make requests for cleaning if my room and getting towels and garbage removed.

Top hotel - sleek, excellent design, well thought out stylish rooms and public spaces. Couldn’t hope for a better location in downtown Nanaimo. Highly recommend!!!!

Great service Hotel is in a great location and is very new. We were able to check in before noon which was a bonus. Highly recommend

A little shabby Tight space in rooms

Check in was good although there was some confusion as to where I needed to park my car! Our broken toilet was fixed right away. The room itself was great! And that bathroom? Can I take it home? We decided to go to the restaurant for dinner as we didn’t wan’t to drive! We entered the restaurant area and were a little confused by the decor and the fact that there was no staff! The fellow at the desk went out front to get the server! We had observed the same thing earlier in the day with a different server! Service was good after that! The menu and the food was extremely underwhelming especially given we were on Vancouver Island! Sad fish with fries & coleslaw. In my opinion the fish was cooked from frozen and over cooked two symmetrical pieces of fish! My spouse’s sandwich which was a BLT with chicken and avocado was on plain white bread and was below standard! Guess why we were the only ones in the house! Not a single local! Can I provide assistance to the great Marriott Hotel chain as to how to run a Marriott restaurant in a seafood area. Let me know! Loved the room!

The cleaning crew stole my gold native spoon ear rings. I had them under the tv and when I was packing my stuff up just bf I walked out the door to check out. I thought I can't forget to lack my ear rings. I was waiting on my son to come out of the bathroom so I can get my Jewlery bag and shampoo bag. Needless to say I packed up my bag forgot my earrings on the counter. Went back an hour later to claim them and all of a sudden no one seen them, found them. We waited for the front desk to locate them Fir well over an hour. No apology, no, can I take your number ill call you if they are found. They were unapologetic and said nope can't find them. Cleaning crew are not honest.

Everything was great, the only issue was paying for parking on our pocket.
