PRAIRIE CREST RED DEER by IHG

We stayed with out kids and our dog in a family room. The kids loved that there was a pool, water slide and hot tub. I liked the family room as we had seperate bedrooms and small kitchen and living area- lits of space. The hotel does look dated on some ways, but is in line with what I would expect for the price point and what we needed the hotel for. It didn't negatively ompact our stay- as it was still clean. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there was a TON of dog feces and cigarette butts on the surroundong lawns/hotel property where you can take your dog outside. I felt bad for the hotel staff that more people didn't pick up after their pets, or bother to use ashtrays to dispose of cigarette butts (toxic to dogs if eaten - so not happy they were everywhere). This is something that guests should do out of common courtesy.

They did not honor the price and the staff was only interested in leaving. I was told it was only a couple dollars. It was hard to fine the property. I booked under Days Inn, but signage had changed to Prairie Crest. I had no cell service to make contact and went to a local business to get help.

The rooms are very dated, the carpet in our room had multiple large stains and the moulding around the door was screwed on with multiple screw heads sticking out. We had no hand soap and had to use the shower gel bottles from the shower. Multiple times we asked to have someone’s left behind articles removed from our room, it never happened. The fitness room is a couple machine in an empty hotel room, with carpet and absolutely no airflow or windows - We very politely asked if we could use the room at 6:30 am, it opens at seven, and we were told no - which just seems silly. Breakfast was decent and fresh, breads and some yogurt with rotating eggs, ham, sausage and potato’s.

parking was easy. Google maps shows wrong address so hopefully that gets fixed. Room was clean, bed comfy. Breakfast was standard free breakfast. Bacon was weird... maybe turkey bacon?

Enjoyed a spacious room and appreciated a hot breakfast.

The room was clean as was the hotel. Breakfast offered enough variety for the whole family. The best part - the pool water was nice and warm and the slide fun for everyone. The proximity to shops like Walmart and Winners is definitely a bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any family. One small issue - the rear parking lot stalls near the large bin were riddled with rusty nails of all sizes. Glad we noticed them and picked them up before parking our vehicle there.

The soap dispenser next to the pool shower was empty, the towels weren’t stocked fully in the pool at 9am opening. Aside from that the staff was very friendly and inviting, room was clean and tidy, lots of amenities, and the price was very fair.

The property it's a bit dated, but it is in really good condition. Staff was very friendly. Made the stay enjoyable. I don't like driving to places that are close, the location is close to amenities, when I needed something it was a quick walk away.

Would be beneficial to have the pool open earlier for those that would like to work out

They close pool every Tuesday and not written on website, No early check in, Bath tub stain and not clean

Room was adaquately clean; however, appliances require updating (microwave very loud, dated and worn lamps/shades, faucet/taps not matching in tub). Mini fridge worked perfectly. Awesome pool, hot tub and slide; kept my 5 year old busy for hours during our stay. Breakfast was good, excellent variety with attentive service. Having a holiday treasure hunt was a great touch to keep my child entertained (did it twice!). Close parking.
