Beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Outstanding fireplaces in the lobby. Variety of activities provides throughout the property. All staff welcoming and efficient. Old world charm and luxury.

Spacious room with river view. Lovely and clean. Well maintained by house keeping. Excellent breakfast buffet. Good value considering all of the first rate options available. Really enjoyed the pool. 23 m makes it great for swimming laps. The pool house is a beautiful timber structure with very high painted ceiling. Lots of loungers. Comfortable temperatures in and out of the water. Really enjoyed the trails on the property. Saw a beautiful red fox. Lots of deer tracks. Quiet and beautiful with a light snow fall. The grand lobby was decorated for Christmas. Very festive with twinkling lights and lots of decorated trees. A lovely pre Christmas getaway!

Very safe parking area not far from bldg. swimming pool and hot tub perfect. Tennis court inside surface not playable for tennis and pickleball. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Room and bed very comfortable and quiet, renovated bathroom large and exceptionally good. Lovely grounds for walking by the river. Central fireplace in lobby is a great place for sitting and reading.

This hotel is definitely an icon mark in this area. But whole building need be renovated. Too old for stay and room is not clean enough. But view is good and lots activity’s you can discover.

Très bel endroit, le personnel est gentil et attentionné. Les lieux sont beaux et parfait pour s’y promener et apprécier la nature. Cependant, pour ce qui est de la chambre, c’est très très décevant. À presque $500/nuit, avoir des tapis pleins de taches et usées, c’est innaceptable. Il y a aussi beaucoup de cognements de plomberie qui rends le séjour et les nuits désagréables. Le lit et les oreillers sont aussi à remplacer. Manger sur place aux Chantignoles fut cependant excellent. Prévoyez au minimum $150/pers. sans alcool/vin. Au final, nous n’y retournerons pas.

The property view of the Ottawa river was picturesque. The grounds were nice and seating along the path overlooking the river was a relaxing place. The hotel provided a rustic old canadiana feel and charm. The washroom in the hotel room is small and needs an update. The view of the river was nice, but overall the room felt dark and gloomy. The carpeting in the room was not flat in some areas. More snack options at the bar, as was available for room service would be a good idea. We waited for a shuttle to bring us back to the hotel from the golf club house. It never came! Overall, we had a wonderful relaxing weekend. It would be nice to have more evening activities or music to entertain the guests. The buffet breakfast was delicious! Staff very friendly!

Super service. Batiments manifiques. Super sentiers, overall tres beau séjour. J'ai par contre une grande inquiétude en ce qui concerne les billots extérieur. Plusieurs logs sont pourris et la protection: Peinture-teinture-traitement est de facon évidente due depuis quelques années. Notre patrimoine est a risque donc... Merci pour cette belle escapade. Trop bref et nous reviendrons vous visiter Nicolas et Leila

Small room and tiny bathroom, with bathtub floor making weird noises when stepping on it. For close to $500 per night, I expected higher quality.

Excellent spa services

We paid extra to book a jacuzzi room but on arrival found that the room was on the basement level with no windows. We asked to switch to a different room and were informed by the staff that the price difference will be refunded. We spoke to Expedia and clearly they came back to dispute that the hotel will not refund the difference. I am not sure who is lying but this has left a not very nice feeling. Otherwise the hotel was fine and comfortable.

Had a very expensive but tasteless dinner. I think this resort is past its best before date. Im sure it was great in the eighties. Slow internet unless you pay for a daily upgrade. No fire in fire place. Tired carpet.

Spa was excellent, RMT very good

Hôtel dans son jus, chambre dans un état très moyen, vitre sales, sale de bain hors d’âge avec traces d’humidité de partout. 350 euros la nuit c’est trop, vaut 3 étoiles mais certainement pas 4. Service et accueil du personnel super, il est temps pour les propriétaires de se lancer dans des travaux re réhabilitation.
