This hotel is our new favorite in Montreal! Excellent location to walk through Old Montreal, but also to get to the Centre Eaton du Montreal. The room was spacious, clean and exceptionally laid out. The king-sized bed was comfortable and the double-black out curtains allow for a restful sleep. We were very impressed that there was no noise from the hallway or elevator! We have travelled extensively and this is in our top 3 hotels that we have stayed at. Will stay there again.

This hotel was beyond amazing! When you enter the hotel you are greeted by the most intimate lounge, amazingly nice staff followed by quick and easy self check in stations. The room was spotless, and had every amenity you could imagine. Every detail in the room was so well thought out. It’s a boutique hotel so it’s not loud in any way, and the front staff remember you right away as you come and go. Overall this property is a breath of fresh air and offers every comfort you could imagine. A bonus is the hotel is a work of art, not to mention the immersive art throughout. If you’re looking for a clean amazing hotel right at the tip of old Montreal, this is the one for you. 10/10!!!!

This hotel is our new favorite in Montreal! Excellent location to walk through Old Montreal, but also to get to the Centre Eaton du Montreal. The room was spacious, clean and exceptionally laid out. Beautiful, stylish, artistic hotel. The room was inviting and very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended the cocktail bar in the basement. The drinks and live jazz were a real highlight. Thank you!

It was our first visit to Sonolux. A lovely boutique property but this was a case of style over substance. The check-in process was muddled by the use of automation. We had to wait for a staff member to ok us for check-in at the iPad kiosks. The whole process took 25 min. Once we were told that the system had the room ready, the kiosk would not acknowledge our reservation. I tried 10 times. I then had to wait for the 1 staff member to finish another service call before having him deal with the computer issue.
That aside, the room, design and spaces were beautiful. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I just think they need to re-think the whole check-in process.

A unique stay, combining accommodations with art to create an experience. All the rooms are identical, with king beds, bidet toilets, and rain showers. The beds and pillows were comfortable and every detail, well thought out. Even the lighting is perfection!
Check-in is through a kiosk, which was a tiny challenge, but Paul walked us through the process. In fact, Paul welcomed us back each time and made us feel at home.
There's a restaurant at the front lobby and a speakeasy in the basement. This boutique hotel offers a lot for the size.
It's a couple of blocks from Notre Dame and about 6 blocks from the center of Old Montreal, making it easily accessible to all the best of Old Port and Old Montreal!
Parking is directly across the street and only $24 a day. There's a bakery next door at the Westin, with protein options [Fairmount bagels, too] and Crew Cafe a block down, offering a unique place to have a cup of something hot, in a beautiful building. We loved Montreal!

I booked this property because of the reviews and the proximity to my daughters graduation place.It stated it was a 5min walk that was not correct. It was a 15-20 min drive. When you get there you enter through a restaurant which is weird they state it’s a Michelin star but no one there we thought we were in the wrong place. The gentleman there was nice didn’t provide is name but he was the only part of the stay that was good. We arrived early so the stored our luggage. When we returned at around 8 pm no one was there until we entered the back to check on which was self checkin, that individual was rude. We then found out we were in the basement we had a window that overlooked an alley were there was a man shooting up. There was no microwave to heat food when I called upstairs he said he would come down to heat it never came. Went to have a shower hairs on the towels went to get in bed hairs on sheets, stain on chair. The building isn’t accessible nor was the room. The next morning awoke by delivery and garbage trucks just below window at 6 am. We were also charged a 300 deposit that wasn’t mentioned. All in all very disappointing especially for the price point would not recommend
