Restaurant and bar was closed

The room was very nice. We are always greeted with friendly staff when we stay here.

Yes...however, room does not have USB ports for charging...at least none that I could find

The hotel’s entire staff is always courteous on our stays.

Lounge was nice staff was very friendly. Didn’t use restaurant. Lots of traffic noise in the room

Everyone was great. Room was nice and clean. A little noisy from the freeway and some airplanes but other than that.. enjoyed my stay.

rooms clean, perfect corners on the bed, front desk person so helpful...ordered a taxi for us, JIm in the restuarant ---SUPER AWESOME guy!!!

Room was large and very clean. Love the idea of flooring instead of carpets. There was free covered parking, which was a bonus. Bed was comfy, housekeeping came by when we were in the room and were super nice and helpful. Requested extra pillows, and they were in the oom when we returned later in the day. Staying there again in June.

Hair in towels front desk rude

Staff kicked us out. At 10:55am we were loading up our luggage & was rushed out of room. Was told we needed to exit our room NOW & ended up putting our items into the hallway while luggage cart was in route in elevator!!

Nice and quiet

I had been looking forward to staying at the Viscount Gort as I thought it had been renovated and because of the idea location. On check in, we asked for a late check out as my husband had minor surgery early the next morning. The staff advised that we could check out at 11:30, but if we wanted to stay longer until 1:00, we had to pay $25 plus tax. We declined the extra charge and asked for 11:30 check out. We had recently stayed later at another Winnipeg hotel, and they had not required any extra charges. We requested a wake up call at 5:30 am, the front desk did call at 5:30 am. However, we got a 11:10 front desk call asking when we were checking out, we advised that we had requested a late check out and would be leaving soon. At 11:20, we had the cleaning staff banging on our door, wanting to clean the room, so she had not been advised out our late check either. The hotel room had a window that looked out on a room being used as a storage area, there was no natural light and at night this storage room was lit up. I was not impressed, felt a bit like a dungeon. I was thinking of asking for another room when my husband suggested that this might make it a quiet room, as not overlooking Portage Avenue or Route 90. As we had to be up early the next morning, we stayed in the room. The decor in the hallways/room was tired and could be updated. The room was quiet and clean, had a good bed. Better staff communication! Brighter and renovated rooms! Over all, disappointing.

Staff very helpful

The atmosphere in lobby was blah! not cheerful at all, carpets dirty in hallways, entrance to lobby -dirty

I was not allowed to check in and i lost my money and besides the workers were very rude...

I went to check in but didn't have proper credit card. Spent over$800.00 for a room I didn't get to stay in. They kept the money. Only got back $45.00. Never had issues at every other hotel I stayed at. Never again will I book online. Disappointed
