Great breakfast and friendly place. I saw a sloth, bat and a hummingbird in the garden which was beautiful.

The staff were very helpful. We had a tour of the grounds to see birds, plants, bats and a sloth. The breakfast was very good. It was very clean and comfortable.

We loved the beautiful, clean rooms and property. Lots of wildlife around and a very friendly staff member whobwalked us around the trails to locate more. The breakfast was great! Hot water and a.c. were 100% reliable which seems rare in a lot of places. Thanks!

This place felt like home ❤️ Kind staff. It was so easy to relax and listen to the wildlife. Breakfast was delicious and the grounds were kept clean and tidy. My children fell absolutely in love with the resident dog and never wanted to leave.

I came from the beach to this beautiful rainforest place and was so thankful I did. It was so luscious and gorgeous. I loved my room and the garden view. Angie came immediately to take me on a tour around the property and pointed out the sloth and some birds on the property. She brought me breakfast the next morning and it was divine. She also pointed out a white faced monkey. The whole family was so nice. I will definitely go back and stay there again. Longer next time.

Incredible stay!!! The staff was amazing, they welcomed us when we arrived, prepared a fresh delicious breakfast and gave us recommendations for restaurants in the area. Best part was you could stay here and see all the animals you want - moneys, birds, sloths all on the property. Close to volcano tenoro and fincadventura which were enjoyable day trips

Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were great! They went out of their way to provide breakfast early one day when we had an early morning fishing trip. Everyone was friendly & helpful. Angela walked us around the grounds & showed us sloths, monkeys, and a variety of birds. Saw more wildlife here than on an organized hike. Great place!!

The staff were extremely courteous. Even accommodated our early check-out time and still provided breakfast earlier than the listed breakfast window! Super peaceful and quiet with a feeling of serenity.

From the moment I arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the owners, Flory and Manuel, made me feel completely at home. Flory’s kindness stood out when she offered me fresh tea leaves to soothe a stomachache, a thoughtful gesture I’ll never forget. Manuel added to the magic by pointing out howler monkeys in the trees, a sight that felt straight out of a nature documentary. Angie went above and beyond, taking me on a walk across the property in search of sloths. We found not just one, but two, including a mother with her baby. The wildlife here is incredible: toucans, great-tailed grackles, and butterflies in vibrant colors graced the property, making every moment feel like a nature adventure. Breakfast was another highlight. Each morning, I looked forward to a delicious meal paired with fresh juice. The bungalows themselves are clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Agutipaca Bungalows is, without a doubt, one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to my favorite people, confident they’ll return with their own unforgettable experiences. Lauralee

Güzel bir yerle karşılaşacağımı tahmin ediyordum ama odanın bu kadar özenli, temiz, her ince ayrıntı düşünülmüş ve aynı zamanda da estetik olacağını düşünmemiştim. Kahvaltı çok yeterli ve yine çok özenli. Gerçekten burayı seçtiğim ve kaldığım için kendimi şanslı hissettim. Odanın camına konan tukanları verandadan muz yerken izleyebildim. Ayrıca herkes çok yardımcı ve Slotları görmem için ben hiç sormadan yardımcı oldular. Yürüyüşten geldiğimde sağlıklı bir atıştırmalık ikram ettiler. İyi ki geldim.

Endroit extraordinaire. Présence de singes, toucans et paresseux directement dans la cours. Belle galerie couverte où il est bon flâner. Les hôtes sont très gentils. Déjeuners extraordinaires. De loin mon hébergement favori du voyage; j’y serais restée encore et encore.

It’s a lovely place to stay. Angie is fantastic and the daily breakfast is a treat.

Amazing stay. Such great hospitality. So quiet. Breakfast every day was incredible. Night tours each night with Angie were awesome - so many animals to see! Great adjacency to tons of outdoor things. Tenorio and rio Celeste were high points. Thank you! Highly recommend.

This property was exactly as advertised. A small family owned place surrounded by nature and walking trails. The bungalow had everything we needed including picture windows looking out at the forest/gardens, a king size bed, coffee maker, small fridge, good shower, a wonderful covered patio and even a lovable dog! We saw monkeys, a couple toucans and a sloth. Breakfast was made and delivered to us each morning. Food was good and enough for two people! Location is close to nearby towns for other meals, plenty of stores including reasonably priced souvenirs. Close enough to Rio Celeste and the Volcan Tenorio national park. Will definitely come back someday in the future! Loved it!

Small B&B, you are welcome by the owners that will warmly make you feel at home. Big property in which you can have a walk and observe animal of you are lucky (sloths, birds). Well located, 10min drive from Bijagua and 30min from Tenorio ! Room was well furnished and comfortable, quality breakfast served in the room !

This is one of those really special places that makes you sad to leave and wanting to return. The bungalows are simple yet really well thought out. There are special touches like fresh cut foliage in the bathroom and lots of surfaces to place your belongings. Each bungalow feels very private as they are situated in such a way that the private decks look over lush grounds. The hammock is a wonderful place to hang out and see wildlife. We saw many amazing things including toucans from our bungalow, and sloths by walking the grounds of this adorable place. We had beautiful breakfast delivered right to our door each morning. Everything was so delicious and you could feel the care and love cooked into each bite. The walking gardens were so natural and serene and private. For picky sleepers, like I normally am, the bed is firm and it's not pitch black or silent, but I didn't care as I left the drapes and window open and A/C off to hear the birds, the rustle of the palms and the nearby stream. Full immersion is where it is at. We truly loved this place and would definitely visit again.

Lovely family owned business! We were very comfortable in our room. The breakfasts served on our balcony each morning were some of the best meals we’ve had on our trip. The highlight of our stay was an impromptu wildlife tour around the grounds. One of the workers spotted a sloth and came to tell us. She showed us to it and then led us around the grounds pointing out toucans and many other birds.

We stay for 5 nights and would’ve stayed forever! Beautiful, conveniently located property. Manuel gave a very informative tour of the flora and fauna on the property. By the first full day we had already seen 3 Collard Aracari toucans having a snack together, 1 Keel-billed toucan, a large troop of capuchin causing trouble in the trees less than 100 feet from our bungalow, and the troop of howlers that live on the property. Ramiro is the bestest boy and we miss him coming over for pets. Flory’s full breakfasts were wonderful, with eggs, meat, beans, homemade sweetbreads, fresh fruit, and pure fruit juice. The staff are excellent Meli was great with communication and answering any questions we had. Angie took us on a walk to see sloths and a beautiful spot with side by side waterfalls. She was so nice to offer to do so. Alejandro and Jess are two local students studying tourism, they were so eager to help with anything we needed or any questions. Their futures hold great things! They found one of the resident sloths hanging out very visible one morning, but we were hiking. They stopped us as soon as we arrived back to show us the sloth and that was so kind of them to watch for us. And the Gloria, thank you for resetting the AC 😉. This location is close to several great restaurants. They are only 30 minutes from Tenorio Volcan/Rio Celeste National Park. We will be back
