Habitación amplia, baño amplio, refrigerador amplio, camas muy confortables, mucha limpieza. Mauricio en la recepción muy atento. Muy cerca de todo. Lo mejor que desde el balcón se pueden ver tucanes y otras aves, como lapas; son una belleza. Definitivamente volveré.

We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the dive shop we used . Only 11 rooms with a nice pool and lovely lush vegetation on the back side .We even saw a toucan right at the pool as well as many other birds ! The only fly in the ointment for us was our air conditioner seemed to have a mind of it's own . It did work but started running water out of the unit inside our room and right over my nightstand which soaked my phone and kindle . All good in the end !

Loverly hotel with great rooms (with fridge), central location to everything in Drake Bay. If you choose the rooms with Mountain View you can sit on the balcony and watch birds. Even a tucan came by and sat in the tree one morning. A little agouti lives close by and wanders around morning and evening, and there are some beautiful iguanas nearby too. Very friendly and helpful personel. Great pool and pool area, and delicious drinks. I did not try the food. Also a coffee area where you can make tea or coffee all day. Beautiful green views. Hotel margarita has my highest recommendation. If I return I will stay here again.

Hotel Margarita had an amazing vibe, it was blending with nature perfectly. Our room has a nice glass wall facing trees and forests. Every morning a very handsome woodpecker would come and curiously check us, it was really unique. The pool was nice, the staff was super polite and helpful, breakfast was nice and quite filling (fruits, coffee and juice on top of your main option.). The only main disadvantage was the cleanness of our room. We found hair in the pillows and bed sheets which made us believe it is from the previous people. We asked the first day to have our linens changed, and we found again hair over them. This made us a bit sceptical of the cleanness, plus the bathroom mirror had dorst stamps when we entered. The bathroom also had what looked like a water leakage from the bathtub to the floor, which was giving an unpleasant odour in the bathroom in the morning. If these things were fixed, it would really be 5/5, a real paradise experience!!

A very pretty pool area, staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms facing the gardens were teeming with birds and was the highlight of our stay. We spent hours on the porch in the morning birdwatching

This lovely hotel, in the tiny, unpretentious village of Drake Bay, was wonderful. I am an amateur wildlife photographer. The manager gave me Room 1, with an enormous window that looks out onto a guarumo tree. In this tree arrived, in turn, a toucan, a pair of aracaris, tanagers, tityrus, caracaras, golden-naped woodpeckers, multiple iguanas, hummingbirds - it was simply incredible. I took the best pictures I've ever taken. The pool and the bar are nice, and everyone is friendly. Just one thing: you will be waking up early. The woodpeckers and howler monkeys will take care of that.

The place is really nice, there are no dinning or restaurant options on the hotel but you can order breakfast. The only negative aspect I can tell is that there was an odor coming out of the bathroom that sometimes was bad.

Hele mooie gerenoveerde grote kamer met mooi balkon. De rest van het hotel was wel in verbouwing dus er was geen restaurant.

When we arrived Mauricio greeted us, helped us check in, and also upgraded our room to the second level for free. The room is super big and clean. There’s a balcony and from it you can see/hear monkeys, macaws, parrots, iguanas, and so many more animals. We were also able to get reservations to Corcovado National Park through the person at the reception desk. At the end of the trip we were also able to get reception to call us a taxi within 5 minutes of needing it. It was a lovely hotel with friendly staff too.

There are many options for a luxury stay at Bahia Drake, which this is not a luxury place. It is clean, safe, and pool is great at end of hot day. It is excellent at a reasonable price point. It is not luxury but that’s not why we were here.
