Room not ready on arrival. Not offered parking permit that overheard being offered to other guests. Awful eggy smell in the corridor near room we were allocated. No view of the suspension bridge and valley during breakfast as the windows had not been cleared of the condensation. Little to no friendliness and general service from both the reception and restaurant staff. Need to do much better!

The room was ok but was a bit smelly and musty.

Lovely room with en-suite and L’occitane products in the bathroom. Bed very comfortable but room too warm. Very helpful staff and cosy lounge bar.

The room was clean, the view was awesome, the bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful! The only reason I have given it 4 stars and not 5 is because the old Georgian sash windows rattled and kept me awake. If I had been staying longer than one night I would have asked to be moved to a different room.

Like the variety of restaurant/bar choices. Our room was lovely and roomy, and I loved the shower.

We had the lovely and spacious balcony room with views of the suspension bridge which was so worth it. Late checkout was a great bonus as hotel wasn’t too busy the next day. Thoroughly recommended

We cannot comment on breakfast as we didn't have. Loved our room with a nice view, good decor and really comfortable large bed. Nice supply of tea and coffee bags and pods towels, slippers and dressing gowns provided. Good temperature control in bedroom, under floor heating in the bathroom and a powerful shower. Very pleased to get a £15 bar credit for not using housekeeping which we thought was a nice touch. Parking is at a premium and had to pay £24 for 2 days parking, but that is comparable to other cities we have stayed at. Not so enamoured by the tired dark decor in the entrance and bar and the table we sat at in the bar area was very sticky. Everything there looked rather run down unfortunately. The reception area looked like a dark funeral parlour including the body drawers at the side so rather quirky but I found it quite amusing. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly apart from 2 members of staff in the pub attached to the hotel who were quite rude and abrupt with me for no reason. On the whole though we were very happy with our stay and really enjoyed the tasting menu in the restaurant where the staff were very friendly and informative.

Lovely plush hotel, with a nice chilled out vibe, in a great location. The staff were truly amazing! and the vegan breakfast was great, especially the sausages and black pudding, doggy breakfast was much appreciated too!
