Nice hotel I would use again

we wanted somewhere for an overnight stay after flying back from Greece to Manchester before driving back to the north east. I'll start with the pros. beds were clean and very comfy. tea/facilities in the room were welcome. staff lovely. good and safe parking. very quiet hotel. breakfast was delicious and just what we needed before a 2 hour plus journey. 5 minutes walk to wetherspoons where we went for tea and couple of drinks. cons. yes it was a little dirty in places ie main passageways etc. new flooring, some decor etc will make it a lovely place. a bit nippy because the heating was off. we paid £120 for 2 adults and a child for a room and lovely breakfast.. we wouldn't hesitate to return if we fly from Manchester again. you expect 5 star you'll pay 5 star prices. Thanks ☺️

The shower I’m both rooms was not good one of them wasn’t even a shower it was for something else an the next one was really hot and you couldn’t make it cooler

The hotel is a little dated but its very clean, the staff are great and its great value for money

The park was just in front of the hotel,Very clean and beautiful. The staffs were very friendly. Breakfast was very very nice 👍. We'll Sure visit again

Hotel could do with some TLC but room was clean, and breakfast was lovely

In general hotel out of date. No central heating. Electric heaters in the room. In a bath in 2 taps hot water - no cold 🙄😀There was at least 3 inches of dirt on the window ledges on the stars. Breakfast mini portions and one glass of juice. Max 1 star hotel. 1 star for clean room. Never again.

This seems to be a once great hotel fallen on harder times. I think I expected that, having read the reviews. However it suited my needs for the night and the price including parking and breakfast was extremely competitive. The staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived early, didn't want to pay an early check in fee, especially on such a nice day to take in the surroundings, but they let me register my car to avoid parking fines. I had a much better nights sleep than the night before in a chain hotel, the bed was comfier. However I did get woken early by the bells chiming every 15 minutes on the nearby church tower.

lol when I told my staff where I’d booked they said your staying in the murder hotel (no murders have actually taken place btw) but is there was a hotel you could be murdered in this is the place !!!! I had to share my room with about 25 silver fish insects running around my bathroom and when I showed videos of the rather massive insects I was told we will get pest control out lol ! Course you will ;) the school next door means if you leave for work at anytime between 8-9 am you are not going anywhere ! The parents are quite adamant you have no right being on the same road as them !!! I had to join the school drop off line just to get out!!!! My children are 26, 21 and 19 and I didn’t have them with me to drop off to school ! This place needs some serious looking at and some honest on the booking page

Un séjour horrible, lavabo de salle de bain, plein d'enduits de trucs de travaux collées dessus. Table de chevet cassee porte de salle de bain ne se ferme pas cassee en deux non vraiment pubs mensongères. Hotel delabrer petit dejeuner il te rapporte 3 menu proposer rizn de plus preparer a larriere rapporter sur des plateau hlrrible non franchement pas du tout ca je perd confiance en hotel.com

Everything as expected,room fit for purpose

The dilapidated room looked like a movie scene from the Bottom TV program. Firstly the very tired and literally held together with string approach was too much. The paint is mismatched in the room. The blinds dont cover the windows, the toilet area had en-grimed filth at the base. The shower rail was not attached to its own fixing and some terrible makeshift thing held it to the ceiling. Over the decades there are still bits of shower attachments spread around the wall not in use and on the theme of this screw holes scattered around the walls like bullet holes. Breakfast was a let down with a single sausage, bacon, egg no heat and not enjoyable... The inconsiderate guests were up at 12am- 5am holding court loudly on their phones, banging around on the doors and generally scaring my 7 year old child who didnt understand why people could be so loud. Reception were informed by phone but failed to address the concerns. Dont stay here if you want a to stay in or around rochdale with any sense of what standards are.

Advised only on check in they don't do evening meals and told to use Uber eats or walk 10 mins to a restaurant 1st room stank of smoke, changed room no heating just a tiny fan heater which barely kept the chill off the room ,outside it was 3 degrees. Breakfast was small ,beans weren't even heated and toast was precooked and cold more like a hostel than a hotel Sent in a complaint and got a generic sorry we will look into this email but nothing else ,no personal contact

Good and clean room but the shower has to low water pressure in it. English breakfast was good but the floor and the windows in the breakfast room needs to be cleaned more often. The hotel is under ronovation and will probably be even better in the future but nice and friendly staff.

Nothing went well, You need to remove this hotel from you listing its terrible, stayed in better hostels. It NOT good for your business or guests. The pictures for the hotel are nothing like the hotel inside or out, its being used as emergency . If we hadn't arrived so late and already paid would have gone to the Hilton or Toby. or if I had a way of contacting you I would have asked for an alternative. The rooms are nothing like the pictures; the facilities are not as listed, Bathroom and decor are terrible. We got upgraded to room 110 a 4 poster bed with pillows so thin you could do without, with no drapes or curtain, just blinds that don't blackout. Service is none existant, breakfast waited over 10 minutes before I could find anyone in the kitchen, reception not manned. Breakfast deep fried even the bacon, egg swimming in oil, toast cold. This use to be a brilliant hotel, like the pictures, thought it might be a little tired but what a SHOCK. Plus Point - the heating in the room worked. There is so much wrong with this place that it need a total revamp and re-decor. Bathroom is a health hazard and looked dirty, mould, broken towel rail, no bath towels, no shampoo, no hairdryer, bath robes, no radio etc. If fact they should be sued under the Trade descriptions act and mis-selling of goods act. Thats as well as breaking health & safety rules like propping an automatic fire door open with a fire extinguisher. Please contact me to discuss, very disappointed

It would have been a good stay except for one thing...the bed mattress was terrible and I spent the night tossing and turning and only managed 3 hours sleep and I was speaking at a funeral the next day so it wasnt good. Eveything else was great so if they could just provide mattresses where the springs dont bite into your back, shoulders and thighs it would be a great place to stay

Just very dated not nice beer at all lines need sorting

Not the best couldn't get warm radiators not on little heater not working nor was the TV and didnt smell the best. The couple in front of me were leaving as i came back with food

The less said the better. Hostel would be a compliment, no hot water, terrible smell of dampness, used as a homeless shelter through covid. Thankfully Hotels.com moved me into a nicer hotel - complimentary for the second night. Do not book here if on a business trip.

It was ok. The bar was questionable, but the bed was comfortable. Generally not too noisy we had room in our standard double to put our travel cot up.
