Staff friendly Room is tidy and clean Location is good.

Room was clean and tidy

Good bits - staff, always polite, knowledgeable and with the smile. Parking is free, but it was difficult to find a spot. Now, bad bits - Hotel is dirty, masking tape holding carpet together on the stairs and walkways. Went to the pool with the kids and pool was very cold + its quite deep on shallow end, 1.2m, so even with floaties I had to stay with the kids full time, as they were struggling to reach the bottom of the pool. Breakfast is bad, sausages dry, beacon burned :( No sweet cereals for the children, my kids tried the ones available and refused to eat them, as they were tasteless (I tried and agree). There was only one set of sockets by the TV, nothing close to the bed, so if phone is on charger overnight - you cant keep it close to the bed. It was a heavy rain overnight and water was pouring from the external lighting housing at the entrance of the hotel, potentially someone may get "charged up" :) Not very good experience overall, one of the worst we have been so far in Bournemouth.

Good location. Polite staff. Hotel was busy and had a good atmosphere. Could do with updating a bit. It’s all we wanted for one night and the price was great.

Good place to stay for Bournemouth. 10 minutes walk to the sea front and about 20 minutes walk to Bournemouth sea front and town centre. Room was very clean and the small inside pool was good enough for a few strokes. Would stay again on our next visit.

Very disappointed with our stay, the room was dirty and dated, the location was awful as it was on the ground floor next to the games room door

A little dated but as I was only in Bournemouth to vosot family in Christchurch the facilities including the food were not partaken of I just wished to use a room for the length of my stay, no complaints at all and would be quite happy to recommend.

My actual stay for very good, with a well-appointed room for the price and a good deal for breakfast. My criticism would be not about the hotel, but about Britannia Hotels' system of emailing and texting in the run-up to my stay with urgent messages to book online and 'time running out'. These are poorly worded and tended to cause concern. They just need to be worded better to offer online booking as an alternative if the client wishes, not to cause worry that something urgent needs to be done or the stay will be jeopardised, as that was the feeling engendered!

Clean room, no bathroom storage, pool was basic but lovely to get a swim in and at no charge. The hotel has old decor but doesn’t affect your stay, friendly staff and nice breakfast we would stay again

I dont see any point checking in online when staff are inflexible 3pm in check time! The tv was unable to maintain a signal making it impossible to watch a whole program.

Stayed for 1 night with my son and the hotel in general id just run down a d in need of a lot of TLC. Negative points.. old styke, old furniturw, rabbit warren for rooms, bathrooms old, trally noisy rooms (we had someones dog and man and woman shouting and baging until 4am Positive points - shower powerful, pool looked ok, games room for kids, good breakfast

Initial contact at the reception was poor. Receptionist was to intent on getting my info although I’d already filled in the online forms. Guidance to the room was poor. Was in formed how to get to the room via lift or stairs however neglected to inform me where the lift or stairs where. The room its self was dated, delaminating furniture, loose wall sockets. Door to room had large gaps, strips and seals missing, damage to the hard wood edge and the self-closer did not operate to full extent thus leaving the door on the latch and not closing to completion. The carpet in the corridors was loose and threadbare at points and the corridor fire doors were ill fitting and also had strips and seals missing.
