DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes

Excellent stay marred by chaotic breakfast. Speedy check-in with free biscuit; lift to top floor and a very clean pitchside twin room with bath and shower over. Shame no adjustable head as hard to wash without soaking hair (bath hat flattens style). Plenty of storage. Lots of lights, altough none very strong. Shame you can't open balcony doors. Quick response to change hair dryer when the first didn't work. Attended a party in Red Dot bar - fantastic buffet provided. DJ was host's own and I gather hotel's recommended person did not respond to enquiries. Decent sleep on good bed. Other guests rather noisy with corridor chats and doors banging. Good bedding. Breakfast - there was no room to sit down so placed in an ante room. Much further to carry each plate back but also long queues, ran out of bacon. It didn't feel like the wonderful post party breakfast we'd envisaged. None of the group could sit anywhere near each other. One staff member said it was always this way on a Sunday morn and another said it was out of the ordinary and they had never had everyone want breakfast at the same time before (9.30) but with check out at 11 it seems the most likely! I have stayed before for NYE and had a less convenient room but with breakfast well organised so I think this is a management issue. Letting huge volumes choose to sit as they wish (2 people on larger tables) is crying out for the chaos that we experienced. Disappointing end but the breakfast is 50% of the hotel experience!

The room was clean and stuff are friendly.

Bed was uncomfortable, mattress change overdue. Service in restaurant was exceptionally poor and the food was bad.

Great stay all round

Car parking was way more expensive than advertised, breakfast was an absolute shambles with a crazy long wait for food, broken toaster and dangerous slippery floors!

The bathroom's caulking was moldy, and the chair in the room was worn and frayed. The pocket-spring mattress was worn out. The staff was neutral. Nothing special for the money you pay. It is close to the MK arena for darts, though.

I was surprised for a deluxe room no bathrobes. I am a Hilton Member and stayed in similar rooms. There was a match on and I slept right through it.

Amazing staff, fabulous room, superb breakfast everything about this hotel oozes quality definitely one of the best

Rooms were very clean and tidy. Everything was just as you expect. The breakfast selection was awesome with a great view of the stadium. All the staff were really friendly and it made the staff the little bit nicer. Looking forward to next years event to go back down!

Friendly staff nice clean hotel

I asked for my bedding to be changed and wasn’t. Room was noisy, right next to the main door to floor.

Clean room. Good facilities and a massive bed.

The only flaw were that the rooms were cold. It was very cold outside but the heating should have warmed up the rooms eventually but it didn't do a great job. The air con heating was not sufficient enough to warm up the place. The bathroom was especially freezing, even with the heating on continuously.

No heating i had to complain for hours before a mini heater was provided which wasn't safe for hours until the room was changed. Secondly i was charged twice for the breakfast on my credit card. It was my worse experience
