Amazing setting , very well maintained , clean . Beautiful grounds and terraces . The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times . I would highly recommend this hotel !

Fantastisk sted. Vi er på rundreise i Norfolk og ville ha en base hvor vi enkelt kunne nå hele området med bil. Det var så bra at vi økte fra 3 til 4 overnattinger.
Det er veldig hyggelig personale her og ikke bare er de hyggelig med oss gjester, men også måten vi hører at de snakker til ungdommer på sommerjobb er veldig oppløftende.
Vi har spist flere ganger i både restauranten og i baren, og begge kan sterkt anbefales.
De første nettene bodde på vi åpent stort flott superior rom i ett av de nye byggene. Det var enestående. Siste natten er i en suite i et ikke like nytt bygg, men relativt nytt og fortsatt høy standard. I sentraleuropa hadde et rom her hatt den doble prisen.
Bildene lyver ikke, det er som et eneste stort gammelt herskapshus. Nesten litt eventyraktig.

The hotel is an attractive building set in extensive grounds, with an interesting woodland walk. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
However, there were a few areas where the guest experience could be improved. It took us quite a while to find our room because the receptionist did not give us complete directions, and the signage did not direct guests to the second lift. Later on wemet two other guests who were also lost in the same area, and we helped them find their way.
There was also no signage to the breakfast room, and no information in the bedroom explaining where breakfast was served or the serving times. We had to ask at reception. When we eventually found the restaurant, the staff were welcoming and efficient, and there was a reasonable choice of food and drinks, including blueberry and rhubarb juice. The next day I noticed two other groups asking where breakfast was being served, suggesting this is a common issue.
On our second day, we were given a leaflet containing a map of the hotel and information such as breakfast and bar opening times. This would have been extremely useful when we first checked in and would have avoided much of the confusion we experienced.
Our room had only two electrical sockets, and neither was located beside the bed, which made charging devices overnight inconvenient.
As our room could only be reached by using two lifts, we had to use both every time we left or returned. The lifts were very slow.

We had a wonderful stay at Dunston Hall. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely surroundings and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the excellent facilities. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

We stayed for a short weekend in Norfolk, decided on this stunning hotel. Was welcomed nicely in by the reception desk staff, room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Woke up to a lovely breakfast buffet both mornings. The golf course was impressive to see, even though we don’t play it ourselves. Had our final evening at the bar which had lovely drinks menu and bar snacks. Young waiter who chatted with us was so polite and funny. The only downside was that the pool was closed for the weekend, would have loved a dip during this heatwave but nevermind. Would absolutely stay here again for our next Norfolk trip.

There’s a strange way of getting to some of the rooms where you have to go downstairs before eventually climbing back up. The hotel itself is very well maintained although I’d wonder if the golf course sometimes takes a little of the priority.

Enjoyed our few days at the hotel.
Nice rooms with very comfortable bed. Good facilities in the room but no safe.
Breakfast was good - pretty standard. Pastries were not great - pain-au-chocolat and croissants were disappointing.
We had a couple of meals in the bar. The burgers were not good. Tasted like very processed meat. Pizza was good. Service in the evening in the bar was a bit hit and miss. One evening, the server was busy chatting to another guest so never got to serve us.
Grounds are excellent and the golf course is a nice challenge.

Room ok but felt basic. TV very old poor quality, kettle needed descaling and no glasses for drinks in room yet given bottles of water?
Asked maid to make up the room in afternoon but when came back in evening it hadn't been done our bins were full up. This wa resolved after I'd gone to reception.
My disabled wife tried phoning House keeping, room service and reception for items but nobody answered phone?? Very poor service
Breakfast ok lots of options, just worried about people using their hands to pick up food as no tongs out?
Theres no disabled toilet yet theres ramp from brasserie? You'd expect there to be one or two in a 4 star hotel ?

Spa facilities needs an update, would be great to see a walking path for non-golfer guests to enjoy the grounds, also brasserie has very low rating 2.5/5 , room service is well so expensive, margarita pizza is £18.00 + £5 room service charge. Rest is fantastic, good location, great grounds, enough to eat and drink

The breakfast was of poor quality, the plates were hot because the food was cold. The staff logging in was rude and made us wait to be seated by completely ignoring us while she used the computer. I asked if they had any rolls I was told bluntly we don’t do rolls although they did gluten free rolls. Only one drinks machine worked, the toast machine didn’t actually toast the bread. I did observe they had gluten free rolls?
When at the brassiere bar I asked for a straw for a Pimms and was told there was none. One of the food options had run out at the bar - this was at 1830. The food we ordered “mouls Marineir was not very warm and the fries were cold.
After all of the above we decided to eat out for dinner. I think much more effort could be expended in food quality and staff politeness
