Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Great location on the high street and a bonus that it had free parking ( first come basis ).

Parking secure but a few minutes walk away. Didn't realise no lift and we were on top floor, so not ideal especially when husband had bad foot. The decor was in need of attention in room

Great value. Could do with updating rooms but great price so no complaints. Breakfast very good! Frome itself absolutely wonderful!

Lovely pub with great staff. A very enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Friendly staff. Gluten free options. Delicious breakfast. Secure parking ( slightly scary tight turning into it). Cannot find a fault. And real coffee bags in the room which gets 5 stars from me. Lovely market town to wander around

Great value stay - big bedroom, comfy bed with balcony overlooking street, hotel bit tired in places but friendly staff and good Sunday lunch and fabulous breakfast, For the money it was superb. Thank you

Parking was excellent but limited. Room was great but smelt of damp & fish aroma. Restaurant & staff were lovely and helpful.

Really lovely staff and service. Main bar and eating areas were great. Unfortunately we had 2 hours sleeps due to the noisy youth perched on the street all night. Breakfast was not great which was a shame as it would have helped the situation.

Really lovely people and food The family room (28) could do with some TLC it was comfortable and clean but some of the decor (wallpaper, curtains, carpet) were quite dated and in need of repair. We slept well and we ate well, and it was very good value.

The building is very old so obviously it has its faults room was very old and the bathroom needs a full refurbishment. However the room and bathroom were spotless. Staff were very helpful and attentive everything we asked for was provided even a fan heater. The stairs are very steep so anyone with mobility problems will struggle. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. A good stay in a characterful hotel.

Excellent hotel

The staff we very friendly. They couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend the George Hotel

Right in the centre of town so really convenient. Good food and bar. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice to be able to park the car in secure parking.

Room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small but with good toiletries. The breakfast was mediocre. Not a great choice on the cold buffet and not great quality. I asked for scrambled egg, toast and some bacon and this seemed to be an issue. (Although it wouldn't have been an issue if I had had the full English!) Didn't know if I could have bacon and scrambled egg. When it arrived it wasn't very warm, the toast was barely browned and cheap!

This is predominantly a pub rather than a hotel. The reception is in the bar and the rooms area is sadly in need of redecoration modernisation and new carpets. We stayed in room 7 which required a trek through the building. The room was small and the en suite tiny. Having said that, although it need renovation it was spotlessly clean and the range of toiletries was good and the towels large. The food in the bar was good quality although drinks were expensive. Car parking was secure, if tight for a large SUV.

A clean and well positioned hotel made 5 star by the friendly and efficient staff,always willing to help.

We were in top room, stairs could be an issue for people that have mobility problems.

Room big and quiet in centre of frome

Arrived mid evening and car park was full. Evening meal was OK but nothing special. Access stairway to rooms had a vacuum cleaner and bags of hotel laundry on the landings. Room was small but had everything you would need for a one night stay. Breakfast was excellent; the best big about the George.
