Clean comfortable room. Staff were fantastic - Elvis particularly was really attentive and friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. Loved all the dietary accommodations in the breakfast bar!!! I’m lactose intolerant so it was really nice to see the soy milk for the tea and the plant based yoghurt for the fruit station!!!! Haven’t seen that in any other hotels I’ve stayed in recently.
All in all a very pleasant trip

Clean comfortable room. Staff were fantastic - Elvis particularly was really attentive and friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. Arrival and check in was swift an friendly, Charlie is a credit to the hotel, he dealt with a few difficult people who basically were complaining like this place was the ritz when in reality it’s a holiday inn. Yes there’s standards to be met but seriously they were complaining nothing.
Charlie was very professional and handled things amazingly , I’ve been in the hotel and hospitality business for over 16 years at the highest level and Charlie for where he is and what he does is a real credit to such a business.
Now the hotel itself rooms are pretty basic, need a bit of cosmetic tlc and definitly new mattresses as they were uncomfortable.
The bar and restaurant are was tidy but some of the tables were marked and needed replacing or a proper clean. Some of the furniture is stained so need replacing, a massive clean or more care and attention.
The menus were of good choice and reasonable prices or what you’d expect in today’s economy. The menus though again, stained and need replacing as stuck together and marked with debris or water stained.
Although we never ordered off the menu we did have breakfast and a good one it was.
For the price that’s paid and the variety in offer it really was a treat. As you’d expect buffet style but all food was hot, looked good and even choice of smoked and normal bacon which is a real nice touch and I’ve not seen that anywhere.
Pastry’s, cakes, even bacon and cheese turnovers. In all I would stay again and hope for the few changes.

This property was a disgrace. Our lights went out several times we had water running inside our window. The heat did not work, and we were absolutely freezing. The staff seemed to have no clue at all. The building itself is very poorly maintained and rundown.

Booked two rooms Queen and twin room. Was given wrong rooms at check in they had given my son and his 13 year old daughter a double bed, took ages to fix although male member of staff did arrange room Chang. Then my key wouldn’t work.given a different room. Put our bags in went straight out. Food was supposed be available from 10.00 but we had to wait till 12.30. No brunch menu available. Doubled up on one of the orders. Coffee and Chocolate machine weren’t working. Didn’t hardly sleep as loud humming noise in the room all night. In morning noticed toilet roll holder hanging off the wall as was the knob in the shower. Although we were only staying one night was not happy. The male receptionist was really polite and helpful. When I gave my key card back and told female receptionist, she said she would let maintenance know. Would not recommend. Chose this hotel because of reviews!!!!

Very good breakfast selection. Just realised that I missed the suitcase stand because it was tucked away in the hanging cupboard. Your excellent staff deserve some extra help because they have too much on their plates. The place is understaffed. Good value for money.

We only stayed for 1 night, hotel was very quiet before Christmas. Staff were friendly, a little slow at the bar area. I think short staffed so lucky it was quiet.
Clean room, breakfast and service was good. Lots of choice and nothing too much trouble.

Check in was smooth and easy. Charlie was very pleasant and helpful. The room was prepared well and clean and tidy. Hotel facilities were good. Restaurant food was nicely prepared and presented and was very tasty.
The coffee machine (premier room) was a bit of a faff to use but when it was figured out, produced nice coffee.
One comment we read said there was a £10 parking charge. This was not the case and parking was free for travellers, but you must register the vehicle at reception.

Overall a good hotel to stay at.
Staff were excellent.
Breakfast was extremely good.
A few personal moans:
Room was poorly lit.
No bedside sockets.
Not enough hangers or cups for twin occupancy.
Shower temperature was difficult to control.
Cost of 3rd parking was extortionate.
