This was a perfect stop off on the way to Cornwall, staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The site is opposite a car park £10 for 24hrs and the hotel is clean tidy and well presented.

Good location for city centre 10 min walk, good service, clean, good value breakfast

Room was very good and comfortable. Bar and restaurant were very busy and not everything on the menu was available.

Nice hotel, modern, clean and comfortable. Friendly bar staff on both nights. Discounted parking across the road and a short walk into town.

Breakfast was as good if not better than many of the top hotels. The lighting in the room (121) was too dim. The bathroom did not have enough flat surfaces to hold all the toiletries. Staff were excellent and very attentive. I would use the hotel again and would recommend it highly.

Friendly helpful staff especially the lady in the dining room at breakfast I didn't catch her name but she told me she was from the philippines. Room was very clean and the beds were very very comfortable.

When arriving at the hotel, I pulled up into the car park behind it. I started to feel concerned as to whether I had booked the correct place and I didn’t like the look of it. However when I got around to the front I was met with a wave of relief as it looked great, it was also in a very convenient location if you’re looking to go into the town. (10-15 minute walk approximately). Parking charges apply on the car park in front of the hotel and also at the back. (Approximately £10-£13 for 24 hours). Walking into the hotel it was visually pleasing, and so were the girls at reception and the bar. Free drinks were also offered on check in (membership). There were sweets, lemon water and mulled apple juice to help yourself to which was a nice touch. Snacks & drinks also available to buy. Check-in was quick and easy and everywhere was clean. Rooms - the shower was powerful and of good quality. The bathrooms were very clean and up to my standards, (which are high). (No blocked plug holes or dirt which is common). Also good lighting in the bathroom and the room itself. The air-conditioning and heating worked as it should. The rooms were sufficiently clean and supplied with all items required for a trip. The beds were comfortable and clean with a choice of different pillows. There were USB port plug sockets also which is very handy for business trips and doesn’t go unnoticed. Breakfast & dinner was good with a wide selection, the steak being a good choice. 5* rating.

Excellent short break visiting our son at Uni

Staff were nice and friendly, the room was a set up to high standard . There was also a hairdryer which was good because it rained the night before, so could dry clothes. Lift good ! Has lots of space around the hotel. Loads of rooms , the room was really good ! I would definitely stay again ! Thank you to the staff and everyone that make this hotel fantastic! Will come again sometime in the distant future !
