I should preface this review by saying I had the great good fortune to live in London in 1983. London has a very different, slightly down-at-the-heels look and smell for me that I LOVE. People give five ⭐️ reviews for different reasons. This is mine: the Parkwood has this wonderful feel for me. It is a very clean and exceptionally friendly place. The breakfast is lovely. The staff and owner Monty are friendly and flexible. I am not the kind of traveler who wants a sterile anonymous environment. The Parkwood is quirky and welcoming. I will be back the next time I have the good fortune to go to London again.

ロケーションも良いし部屋も清潔だが、エレベーターが無く階段も上層階は狭く荷物を運ぶ事が困難なので要注意、それと水とお湯の出は問題無いのですが使用する時に凄い音がします。
朝食は美味しいしサービスも良かったです。

ヒースローエクスプレスでパディントン駅に到着し、なんとなく立地で選んだのがここ。チューブの駅から徒歩5分でオックスフォードストリートの端に位置していて、ちょっとした買い物もできるので便利。駅前のセインズベリー（スーパー）が24時間営業。
ホテルは、通りを１本入った閑静な場所。ただし施設は古く、私がアサインされた5階の部屋までエレベーターが無いなか、狭い階段をスーツケースを引きずって上がったのには参った。部屋の鍵も閉めるにはコツがいるらしく、私は最後まで外からカギをかけることができなかった。。。部屋の壁は薄く、隣の話し声が聞こえる。共有のシャワー＆トイレの清潔感も微妙で、到着日の1泊だけだと思い、結局使わなかった。
よくも悪くも一般的なロンドンのホテル。Ｂ＆Ｂに毛が生えた程度と思って宿泊すれば良し。

Staff was so friendly. Nice location next to Hyde Park. Comfy bed - good WiFi - nice small area to sit outside. They were very helpful to find me an adapter for my phone. The carpet in the room needs replaced and a nice coat of paint would certainly freshen the room up. The safe and refrigerator were on the floor - on a table would be nice. I was only there for 1 day - positive experience!

The room (101) was really not suitable for hotel. There were moist/watermarks around doors, windows and roof corner. Carpet felt almost sticky, uneven and even soft at some areas. I would love to say old charm but cant... The toilet smelled like old urine (from pipes i think)The old windows was also not ver soundproof, and to be able to sleep at all after a long days travel we had to keep the window open for parts of the night due to the smell of mildew. Im allergic to mold and had a very hard time sleeping and a huge headache in the morning. The staff was polite and smiling and bed surprisingly comfortable, but that is the only positives here. Noone in the reception in the evening. Or morning. Breakfast on the small size.

While the staff is helpful and lovely, this BnB is barely one star. The wifi worked well, the pillows were good, and some of the breakfast was fine for our needs, however, while we knew we were booking a cheaper hotel, this place is falling into absolute decay. The room was on the 3rd floor, and there are no elevators, which meant walking our 23kg luggage up four flights of narrow stairs. There is no air conditioning, and the window barely stays open. The rooms itself is genuinely dirty, the curtains are stained and the wall has marks of previous guests. There is absolutely no water pressure in the shower. You can hear the steps of everyone staying in the room/s above walking around, so we were happy we had ear plugs with us.

We were here for just one night. Temps were in the high 70s and the room has no AC. But the window could be opened to let air in and the room had a tabletop fan that we used the entire time. If it had been any warmer, it would have been tough to sleep. Breakfast was very good.

Bit mixed I'm afraid. Warm welcome on a very hot July day, three flights of stairs to room, having arthritis not the most convenient, room very hot and no air conditioning although fans were provided. We had a nice stay at Parkwood Marble Arch. The staff was wonderful, kind and attentive. The accommodations are small and modest but the location cannot be beat. We were literally across the street from Hyde Park, the tube stop, the bus stop and tons of restaurants and entertainment. Breakfast was fresh and hot with good, strong coffee (we’re American!) There is no central air… if the outside temperature had been hotter, I would have struggled. The room is small and dated but, again, the location and the staff really made for a nice 2 night stay. Our trip was 2 quick days in London so Parkwood fit our needs well.
