Another lovely stay at Ropewalks. Went for the upgraded room with balcony this time. Good size room, and balcony overlooking the main bars and clubs. Was fairly peaceful the first night, but a tad noisy the second night. Think next time if staying on a friday or saturday would request a room at rear of hotel. Staff helpful and friendly and lovely breakfast.

Nice room/hotel in the center of the city. Have no complaints about the actual facilities, however, there were several pubs and clubs on the street, including in the hotel, so it got very, very noicy at night with a room towards the street. Probably mostly a weekend problem though, and the staff did give me earplugs so it didn't ruin my sleep too much. Also, the hotel is not a VIP Access hotel, despite Hotels.com claiming so. Or at least two staff members hadn't heard of it when I asked on check-in. It's fine, the hotel was still nice but was a bit of a bummer to not be correctly informed when booking as that factor had tipped the scales a bit for me.

Nice hotel, staff were pleasant on check in. Room easy to find. I like the darker look of the room, it’s easier for me to sleep. However unfortunately we didn’t sleep very well as the room was just so hot. There was a desk fan thankfully, it’s just unfortunate that the weather was warm & so we were only pushing around hot air. Bed/pillows were comfortable. Decent sized room. Slight noise from other hotel room doors banging shut, but not much can be done about that. The location of the hotel as spot on, so good for a night out. We like concert square area so for us, location was key when booking. We’d definitely return, we got a good deal on the price & as I say, location was perfect. We got cheap over night parking just a few minutes walk away, the restaurant we wanted to dine at was no more than 10minutes walk away. There is a restaurant serving breakfasts at the hotel, we didn’t have this although it did look nice in there.

Sorry to say but this place is very average at best . Whilst I understand the heat over the last week was unusual having no ventilationsin the rooms and a window that opened 5cm at most made the stay very uncomfortable. Breakfast was reheated and not particularly pleasant . Positive is it’s a great location but there are much better options locally that we’d chose next time .

Great location, close to Liverpool One and Concert Square. Room and hotel were clean, tidy and modern. Bed was soft. Only issue was no aircon in the room. We were there in the very warm period in Jun 26 and although they provided a fan in the room, sleeping was tricky in the heat.

The room was lovely the layout and the look of it but there was no aircon. There was a small fan left in the room for us but not many places to plug it in meant there wasn’t much use for it. The wire was short so even if they had left an extension lead or a bigger fan either would have helped. We also couldn’t open the doors/windows for breeze or fresh air as the bars/clubs outside were really loud. So we were stuck in a hot airless room (34 degrees) with a fan lightly blowing hot air around. To add further insult to injury the reception/bar had lovely and cool aircon. Convenient right? Maybe to hope people will spend on drink to sit there?

Good sized room with comfortable bed that is in the heart of the city with easy access to nightlife and L1. However room was like a sauna with only a small fan to cool the room which was insufficient. This caused a broken nights sleep as it was impossible to get comfortable. Also bin in the bathroom was not cleaned after last guest which creates questions on cleanliness. Could not get the wifi to work or use smart TV features.

Lovely big room with very comfy bed. Great location and friendly helpful staff. And the drinks voucher was a nice touch! The only slight negative was that the room was a bit dark, some of the lightbulbs needed to be replaced, and an extra light in the bathroom would be helpful. Otherwise perfect!
