We had a lovely stay in a comfortable and spacious room overlooking the estuary. Our room had a small table and two chairs as well as a side table for hot water kettle and tea and coffee fixings. There was plenty of room for two of us with a gorgeous view.

Ældre hotel, som bar præg af flere års brug, slitage. morgenmad ok. receptionist som modtog os i receptionen var yderst venlig og imødekommende. Heldigvis startede de opvarmning af hotellet efter forespørgsel, da hotelværelset var ekstrem koldt. Små værelser, lidt nusset, og vinduer med mos på, med en udsigt fint var fin…

Ideal location friendly staff shame there closing down tomorrow

Extremely friendly staff.felt welcome from the first word. The room though could do with renovating, creeping floors, old TV, old furniture.

Apart from there being no brandy in the bar all very nice but I think the showers need updating all seems a bit old but great location

Comfortable room had trouble getting hot water.

Nice cheap hotel room was clean and comfortable. Some parts of the hotel need updating didn’t eat or drink. They so can’t comment on the food.

Wasn’t told the restaurant was closed until we arrived ,room rather small and dated,staff very pleasant,parking is a problem.

Staff very helpful hotel convenient to the sea front on probem no restaurant open for evening meal and fire door begin held open by a chair left like that all day and night

Mix up on room booking was satisfactorily resolved and view over coast great from window. Very convienient location, overlooking beach and boats. Rooms really nead a refresh though.

Lovely sea view room was unexpected. Staff helpful, room clean and bed comfortable. Shower hot and strong.

Staff friendly and quiet.

Convenient to everything. Hotel very clean just a little dated. But we had a lovely stay and breakfast was lovely.

The property is a little tired but in a superb location. We were in the Courtyard extension and the walls seemed very thin as some late night revellers made a hell of a noise when returning to their rooms. Overall not bad.

The Royal Beacon has an old world charm which goes with its age (200?). Unfortunately the hotel has creaky floors which also match its age. Doors are sprung to close abruptly; picture hanging bumpers might reduce the annoyance of regularly slamming doors. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Lovely night stay

Good experience, we were in a courtyard room , which was fine as we had two dogs. We brought our own crate out of courtesy , the hotel provided blanket , poo bags , treats and water bowl for our dogs- a nice touch The entrance to the stairway to the rooms was a bit tired , but no issue as it’s direct access from outside . The room was fine , had everything we needed . So happy We used the bar , it was ok too
