No parking...full of cars with local dri kers

Lovely place, friendly staff but (in relation to my room) in need of a few repairs.

Room was disgusting TV hanging off the wall, shower screen broken, damp, mould and smelly

Noisy all night - mainly from the bar. Unable to sleep, so tried TV which didn't work. The room was reasonably clean, but the size of a cupboard.

I booked 2 rooms for 1 nights stay.room number 15 had a bad problem with the sewage pipes. The toilet stank really badly that it made you gip. I went down to the bar and explained the problem. I asked if we could change rooms and the receptionists said they had no other triple rooms available, i said a double room would be sufficient she rang her sister to see if that could be arranged.to my surprise her sister asked if the beds had been used, so i explained they have been sat on, so she said that i would need to pay for another room if i wanted to change, because the room would need to be cleaned. I was shocked at the customer service and how i was expected to pay for another room. She suggested that she could give an air freshener. She came up to the room sprayed the toilet and left the air frshener. The other room, had a broken toilet seat, some beading falling off the edge in the bathroom and the smallest heater. It was on all night and the room was still freezing. At checkout there was no one to take the keys, the reception area was locked. I went to the function room and the 2 ladys were setting up for an event and werent part of the hotel. I had to leave the keys at the bar after 15mins of hanging around and ringing the phone number. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, even though it was cheap the customer service is appalling!

Very basic room but a very comfortable bed and nice fluffy towels. The shower was really good and shower cream was provided. No tea and coffee in the room but freindly staff made me a coffee at the bar. Really good value for the the money.

Room ver clean staff brilliant atmosphere brill. Shower very hot. Breakfast and food good. Manager of bar very helpful

Friendly staff

The staff were very welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable.

The room I stayed in had peeling paint and mold around the window. And the 2 bath towels they supplied were soiled. The other room we had the waste bin was full and the towels looked as if they had been used. The staff did supply fresh towels. The parking is limited but they do mention that in the advert,

The hotel is comfort but services and cleaning isn’t good.

Room was cold although the heater was on it werent warming up enough..tv was in a wierd posution in the room so could hardly watch it.

The room was clean fresh bedding it was quite even close to train track couldnt hear any noises, staff are friendly had a smoning area nice atmosphere would stay again

We had two rooms booked, one was lovely and big and clean, the second one was small and had a strong smell of weed, we complained about it and the staff must have sprayed something to make it smell better, which wasn’t great. Also I wanted to pay on the arrival, but they still tried to take the money from my card before I got there, I told them I wasn’t happy but they didn’t do anything about it.

Comfortable double bed, fresh, clean bed linens & towels. Shower, wash basin and toilet clean. Grubby, main thoroughfare stair carpet was a bit off putting, but once inside the room, OK. Would have liked a kettle and toothmug in the room as not provided. I was in Room 4 at the back so no traffic noise from the busy main road. It’s an old building with wonky floors and creaking stairs so foot traffic very noisy 6pm to 11pm approx. Plenty of forecourt parking and a variety of local takeaways to choose from. Will stay there again.

The rooms are above what is basically a working men's club where you feel like you'll be assaulted or robbed as you walk in. The room was covered in dirty marks on the wall, there was no tea or coffee making facilities, the heater doesn't heat and tv has no channels tuned in and is basically just for wall decoration. There is no free breakfast either. Avoid!

I didn’t stay the second night , there was a Halloween party on the Friday night which was fine but my room was above the outside smoking area and people were out there til gone 3 am talking loudly and I couldn’t get to sleep.

Room was clean , we arrived late than our check in time but they sorted it out for us and explained in email how to enter and explained keys and cards in case they were not there . Thks

Clean, welcoming and simple. You get what you pay for and this delivers more than most in this price range. If you are just look for somewhereto get your head down, with food and a drink this is ideal
