the family tree was absolutely amazing, the staff was so nice n polite and so helpful, room was quaint and adorable and completely spotlessly clean . the breakfast was 10 out of 10 i couldnt fault it,we would definitely stay there again thank you

Lovely room (the Oak room) with all you could need including complimentary toiletries. Only niggle the Ariel cable connection not good making watching tv impossible, but this didn’t spoil our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.

We stayed for one night at The Family Tree in Derbyshire, in the Sycamore Room, and it turned out to be such a lovely little getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm and welcoming, which is exactly what we were hoping for. The Sycamore Room was spotless and really well put together. The bed was incredibly comfy, the kind you sink into straight away, and we both slept really well. It felt cosy without being cramped, and there were lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel more personal than your usual place to stay. Breakfast the next morning was a real highlight. There was a great selection to choose from, and everything was fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. It was the perfect start to the day and honestly one of the best parts of our short stay. Even though we were only there for a night, it felt like a proper break. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and it was easy to switch off and enjoy the surroundings. We left wishing we had booked a bit longer, and we would happily come back again in the future.

The Family Tree is wonderful. There aren’t many places we would make a point of going back to but we will go back to The Family tree. Breakfast excellent ; staff, and we single out Linda because she went the extra mile to help us, are great.

Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts weve ever had!! Room was small but cosy and had everything you needed

Plenty of parking, lovely room. Friendly staff. Only downside.... I'm gluten free and they didn't have any GF cereal but i was able to have a full english breakfast and they had GF bread and sausages. Nice touch in the room was biscuits, but again i had stated on the booking that i was Gf so it would have been a nice to have left a packet of GF biscuits. Only 12 minutes drive from main area of Matlock town.

Breakfast was really nice like the personal touch with tray .only problem we couldnt turn down our raditor so had to open window.like where it was placed

Plenty of parking across from the hotel, lovely bedroom and very comfortable bed with plenty of provisions in the room. Breakfast was amazing, you definitely have a lot of choice! Great hotel if you want to get out walking in the peaks.

I didn't travel for business purposes, however the facilities in the hotel were faultless. The hotel provided a list of places to eat, chemists etc so you knew exactly where to go for everything you needed.

As soon as we arrived we were greated by a member of staff who booked us in and showed us to our room. The room is beautiful and has fridge bar and lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Everything is very clean and room is checked each day, making sure you have everything you need. also the room was quiet and relaxing and the bed is really comfortable. You can choose a time that suitsThe bathroom is lovely and spacious with shower wash etc. also the room was quiet and relaxing You can choose a time that suits you for breakfast before 11am. Breakfast was amazing. You can choose any coffee from the menu and then you are brought a tray with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and jugs of orange and apple juice. You can then choose anything from the hot food. Everything was very tasty and we were offered more hot drinks. All the servers were polite and friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

Great room and amazing breakfast

The staff were superb, attentive and helpful. The room was luxurious and comfortable. Although I visited at a quiet time of the year, the areas natural beauty and charm remained.

Friendly people, loved the bouquet of ranunculus. Quiet room. Great breakfasts. Nice hot shower.

Breakfast is amazing! The room is really beautiful and comfortable. A little gem of a place. Just a shame that dogs are not taken in the rooms otherwise we’d stay here much more often.

Room was great, comfy bed and pillows,some thoughtful extras in bathroom such as bubble bath, cotton buds etc. wine, beer,soft drinks chocolate &crisps to purchase in room. Complimentary tea coffee biscuits. Breakfast was amazing. Staff very friendly.
