Our stay at the Fox was absolutely lovely. The car park offered plenty of space and the staff were welcoming. The room was clean and homely, despite the building’s age dating back to World War II. It was kept in excellent condition, almost as if it were brand new. Breakfast was delicious and Tina, our waitress, was fantastic. We genuinely enjoyed her service and conversation with us. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Winchester. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a lovely stay at The Fox Hotel in Winchester. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, making it a great place to relax. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the food was absolutely amazing—one of the highlights of our stay.
The only downside was that the room didn’t have air conditioning. A fan was provided, which was appreciated, but it was very loud and made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Apart from that, everything else was excellent, and we would happily stay again.

If you’re looking for the cutest true English village this is it!!! Very remote, but fantastic, had a wonderful dinner, and cocktails. The staff, were wonderful, from the young bartender, waiter at dinner, but the women that served breakfast was just the kindness and interesting, l could chat with her for hours. Book this place! I had a lovely stay at the Fox. A lovely room with tea, coffee, and fresh milk in the fridge.
The staff is friendly and very welcoming and I had a lovely supper and the breakfast is superb. If only all the rooms had bath tubs, it would be perfect!

Nice clean room, very spacious and tastefully decorated. Excellent tea and coffee (pods). Only slight concern was the fan in the room had gathered some dust, but we didn't have to use it. Bathroom was lovely and spacious, excellent shower.
We had lunch and breakfast, both lovely (breakfast was superbly cooked!)
Very helpful staff and a wonderful picturesque location.
Only a word of warning, if possible, try not to park under tress... Car will be covered in bird doodoos next day!
Very highly recommended hotel.

Wonderful staff who are friendly and go the extra mile.
Breakfast and dinner were excellent it is not worth leaving to find better food.

The breakfast selection is excellent, fresh produce and lots to choose from. No skimping on the amount served.
The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
The roo was very hot as the heating was on and no thermostat in the room to turn down.

Easy to get to, tasty food. Evening staff both fab, morning person not as much. Bedroom and bathroom lovely size and biscuits/tea generous. Slept well, though the radiators were rather hot and I didn’t know how to turn them down.
Evening food delicious but morning breakfast could have been better; toast came out cold. Breakfast is slightly weird in that it’s not a self-serve, you get drinks brought to you from the options you circled on a menu from the previous night.
Parking was easy but driveway very bendy and narrow at points! Breakfast staff seemed rather snooty and when I asked for help, she told me that I should have known how to enter/exit the doors with my fob, as I was shown the previous night, when in fact I wasn’t.
Overall, a good stay but not sure I’d return based on the above points. Breakfast let the stay down.
