The Mitre Hampton Court

I stayed at the Mitre several times during my visit to England. Not only is the location amazing, opposite Hampton Court Palace, on the River Thames, and close to Bushey Park, but the staff are fabulous. They go above and beyond. Professional, kind, thoughtful, helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Ashley, Sabrina, Alina and Blaze - thank you. Good to know - Air conditioning units were being installed in some of the bedrooms as I left!!

Beautiful & quaint & quirky room in a 17th Century building. Great shower. Very Comfy mattress! Staff: everybody was super friendly and helpful and chatty which is a great asset! Tommy at the restaurant and breakfast and Mariana were great .TOMMY IS INCREDIBLE! Breakfast: excellent salmon and poached eggs , good tea! Lunch : I only had different fish starters , excellent quality, the trout starter was fantastic, great asparagus! Location: superb location by the river ,next to Hampton Court palace. Good restaurants close by within walking distance. A wonderful stay

We had a classic double at the back of the hotel so window opened into a small courtyard. It was lovely and quiet and cool on what was the hottest couple of days in May since the 1940’s. Thankful for the fan. Room is nice, clean and comfy bed and nice bedding. Not spectacular but we certainly weren’t paying the top room prices and I was happy with our choice and cost for what we got. My only niggle was the fact that there is no full length mirror (or even half sized one) anywhere in the room. Plenty of walls to put one on so think that would be an easy improvement. Bathroom also needs a redecoration. Location is perfect for Hampton Court Palace and staff were very friendly. We arrived about midday and checking isn’t until 4pm but space was still found for our car. We visited the Palace then showered, changed and had a nice dinner in the Terrace. It was busy so service was a little slow but we were in no great hurry. Breakfast was lovely, good choice and lovely bright dining area overlooking the Thames. Check out at 11am so no morning rush which was nice. All in all very enjoyable and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Gorgeous building Not very clean Bedroom didn't have enough storage for personal items. Bathroom didn't have enough storage for my toiletries/ make up/ hair products. ( you need a Bathroom unit with cupboards.) Units tatty in room. Loved that you got water/milk in fridge every day. Breakfast room wasn't cleaned when we arrived for breakfast. Crumbs/ food that was gathering on the steps. Dead flies/insects all over window cills. Staff were absolutely outstanding. Meals were really good. Wine little expensive. Great for visiting Hampton Court as its just across tge road,train station a stones throw away and you've got a lovely walk across the Thames.

We wanted a place to stay for the night while visit Hampton Court palace. Hotel was nice and restaurant in hotel was great for dinner. Not much around the area, but great for our one night stay.

Wonderful welcome and the family room was spacious and comfortable. We loved having the use of the library in the evening to play games and relax!

My 2 night stay here was a relaxing break. The hotel is directly across the street from Hampton Court Palace which made the visit so easy. A short walk from the train station is a plus. The staff in all areas was exceptional and very helpful. The menus in the restaurants are varied and I must compliment the chef and waitstaff for delivering a quality experience. My room was to the back of the hotel so very quiet. Since there was no AC - a floor fan was already in the room. You might want to check the height of the bed in the room you wish to book- mine was very high- but also very comfortable. I do hope to return to Hampton Court- and will certainly arrange a return visit to The Miter Hotel.

Stunning and beautiful. This will be my go to accommodation in the London area from now.

Our room was wonderful. We had a private balcony and mirrored outside wall so we weren’t looking at a brick wall. Friendly helpful staff. Wonderful enough that there was a wedding reception downstairs. We sat on the patio and watched the birds. Very relaxing

The Mitre is an exceptional hotel, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was amazing, served in a gorgeous area overlooking the river. The location couldn’t be better; you are in an out-of-the-way part of London with small village charm. Just steps away over the bridge is a street with many lovely restaurants, as well as the Hampton Court train station where you can get a train to Waterloo Station in Central London in a half hour. Staying at The Mitre was a memorable experience, and I recommend it highly.

The floor upstairs was so thin the people upstairs were so noisy couldn't sleep. The bed side lamps one didn't work at all and the the other not good. Was not a good experience

Beautiful hotel and fantastic staff

I am a repeat customer at The Mitre. The hotel has a wonderful "old-world" charm to it, but they’ve balanced it perfectly with the modern amenities you actually need. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. I managed to leave an item in my room after checking out and Sandra was an absolute lifesaver. Even though the hotel was buzzing with the Friday morning guests, she took the time to coordinate getting the item across the city to one of my colleagues, in rush hour during a tube strike. It’s rare to find a team that stays so calm and genuinely helpful when things get busy. It’s a beautiful, special property, and the level of care they show their guests is exactly why I’ll be booking here again. Highly recommended!

The property was very nice and historic the staff were exceptional. The only downside was the menu for dinner not a lot of different options but plenty of places to eat around that area I did want to eat in the hotel for the experience pity about the menu we did have a drink there and staff was exceptional again nothing to much thank you to the staff a1

The full English breakfast was freshly cooked to order with good quality ingredients. The staff were friendly and polite especially Ashley on reception.

Very attentive staff. Small touches like welcome drink. Doggie fuss was very cute, especially their own bag of treats and a toy to take home. We stayed in the Cartoon Room, wow, spacious, clean and our own private garden. Dinner was delicious.

Really good breakfast. Good selection
