ザ・ロゼイト・レディング

4人の家族旅行でアパートメント２ベッドルーム1部屋を1泊利用しました。 場所：次の観光地への中継地点的な位置づけでReadingという街にあるこのホテルを選びました。 なのでこの街で観光はしていませんが、結構大きい街の中心地にあるので、食事や普通の買い物には不自由しないと思います。次の日にコッツウォルズに行きましたが、1時間弱で行けました。 館内，部屋：アパートメントルームということで、ベッドルーム２つにキッチンのある広いリビングルームがあり、1泊だけではもったいないくらいでした。利用しませんでしたが、洗濯乾燥機も備えてあります。部屋はフロントのある本館とは別棟のため本館はあまり見ていませんが、５つ★らしく館内は高級感がありました。 フロントサービス：チェックイン，チェックアウト時共に時間がかかることもなく、その他の対応含め、問題なかったです。駐車場へのアクセスが分かりにくかったのですが、地図のプリントを渡してくれて詳しく説明してくれたので問題なくたどり着けました。 値段：料金は日本と違って宿泊人数ではなく部屋単位なので4人で1部屋と考えればそれほど高くはないと思います。ただ駐車場が有料で20£は高い気がしますが。 朝食：フルーツ・パン・ドリンクのビュッフェに、いくつかのメニューから選んで注文するメインという形式です。特にメインは典型的な英国式朝食で量,質共に申し分ありませんでした。

仕事で一人で泊まるより、妻とゆっくり過ごしたい。有料だが部屋のミニバーの充実ぶりに驚いた。

Always a pleasure to visit

Beautiful building and interior. We came for our mini honeymoon and got ungraded. We had a congratulations note with chocolates in the room and rose petals scattered on a king size bed. Large room, large bathroom. Decent breakfast but quite minimalistic for £20/person.

Great hotel nice style in old building good value

I have to give a shout out to Wictoria who worked at the reception and checked us in. First impressions make such a difference and she did ever so well. Very polite, engaging and even showed us to where we were to stay. We have two rooms. one studio and one very spacious flat with everything from a kitchen, to dining area to living room and balcony. Had a short but fantastic stay. Had breakfast from the buffet, but realised after that there were other options that could be ordered. Other than that, the staff were very helpful. Have less reason to be back soon, but would stay here again.

Awesome hotel would come back over and over

Great place unfortunately it was a very hot day and we would have never imagined that a 5 star hotel would have no air conditioning

No A/C & room poorly maintained.

We regularly stay at this hotel and it’s the only places to stay in Reading! Classy decor, delicious cocktails, and the comfiest bed in town. Friendly staff took it all off.

Mixed feelings. The Expedia price was over £200 for a suite. We had a lovely room with 3 chairs and a desk: that is not a suite!!! The bathroom was superb with big bath and extra shower, though hot water was slow to arrive. Reception staff were excellent; the barman produced 2 superb cocktails at a very fair price. But at breakfast we were shown a table and told 'that is the buffet' but not given menus or even told that we had to order hot drinks. A waitress helped us out but we'd already eaten from the buffet so it was too late to order extras. The room had windows that open (good!) but no air conditioning (listed building?) however, there was an excellent Dyson cooler/heater. Great to have a fridge and coffee machine with free water etc Towels and bedding were truly luxurious. But on leaving we were asked to pay an extra (roughly £9) fee for a service charge for the room (on top of £200 paid) I have never been asked for this before in any hotel and it rather soured the stay. To be fair we were told this was optional and did not pay it. Location is perfect: very quiet, by Forbury Gardens, thus near the station and not far to walk to the Hexagon for events. But as a dictionary pedant I do feel a suite means a separate sitting room (as in most hotels) and thee nomenclature should be luxury room or larger room!

Had a great weekend stay at The Roseate. Very spacious room (House Premium Room) with separate bath and shower. It was a nice breakfast, but I felt somehow about the service charge that was attempted to be added on top of the breakfast charge.
