I stayed here on the 28th-30th May for the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding. i would not recommend this hotel. The Pictures online are fantastic but the room was very much falling apart. the floor had big gaps in and bubbles it just needs a good refurb to be honest, the mirror on the walls arn't even attached properly. My wedding dress was filthy and i only walked from our room down in the lift to reception it was so bad.

Comfortable beds, ideal location, big rooms and excellent staff. Stayed on a Thursday night to attend and event as a family of 3 adults. Check-in was great, room was ready early, we had intended to just drop out cases in and go explore so this was a bonus. The bathroom was adequate, but housekeeping need to focus on there a bit more, behind the door needs to be cleaned as well. There was an issue with noise in the night, we called through to reception and the issue was dealt with quickly and apologies offered by the member of staff we spoke to. In the hole it’s warm, safe and comfortable, meet our needs. And t has a party vibe, so would imagine weekends are lively

We stayed for sound city as a big group and i cannot say anything bad. We didnt eat there but the messages before and the way they welcomes us was 5 star.

This was our second time at the Shankly and you can tell some upgrades to the rooms are required to make it look as good as it was. For example, some flooring is peeling away from use over time and the furnishing are sometimes missing parts/handles etc. However in saying that, for big groups, the Shankly is fabulous value for money in a brilliant location so we would absolutely stay again.

Staff friendly and welcoming, the breakfast and food from the main menu was delicious. Really spacious rooms and the kids loved the big bath with jets ☺️

Odada minibar yok. Pencereler açılmıyor, taze temiz hava sorun oluyor. Banyoda havlu asma, koyma yerleri yok. Duşta ahize yok. Bunlar biraz zorluyor. Konum çok çok iyi. Yataklar rahat, personel yardımcı ve güleryüzlü.

Room had a bit of water damage however it met our needs perfectly well, it was very comfortable and very clean. The staff in this hotel are outstanding especially with how busy the hotel got with functions and hen nights. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Liverpool as I doubt they'll find a better hotel.

£400 for One Night (Room Only) – Not Suitable for Families!! We paid almost £400 for one night for a family room (room only, no food included) and it was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. The hotel feels very run down. Although the room was large, it was extremely dated and not cleaned to a high standard. For the price being charged, the condition was very disappointing. Our floor was mostly occupied by hen party groups and was extremely noisy. To make matters worse, our room was directly underneath an events room where very loud music continued well past midnight. Even after the music stopped, furniture was being dragged around above us. As a result, both myself and my children struggled to get any sleep. When we did eventually fall asleep we were woken again by shouting and screaming in the corridors from other guests. By morning we couldn’t wait to leave. The corridors also had leftover takeaway containers and kebabs scattered along them, which summed up the state of the place. When I raised these issues at checkout, the manager, Chris, showed little interest and said it was my fault for not complaining during the night. I was also told the hotel mainly caters for stag and hen parties, which makes charging nearly £400 for a family room feel very misleading. This hotel is massively overpriced and not suitable for families. We were not the only guests complaining in the morning. We wish we had booked a Premier Inn or Travelodge instead.
