Really lovely little place to stay and comfortable. In good waffling distance for two tube lines and from central London. Lovely places to eat close by. The bathroom lights weren't working during our stay and a small lamp had already been provided for the bedside lamps working. Hopefully they will have resolved that. It's not a great place to stay if you have mobility needs as every room was upstairs. Water pressure is also poor on the top floor. We were happy to make do for the price

The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, and the pub downstairs was lively. Overall, the room was nicely sized, clean, and comfortable. However--and unfortunately--our trip landed during a heatwave, and the room was impossible to moderate the heat. We were on the first floor and our room was 33C the entire stay, even when the temp outside dropped to mid-20C in the evening. I would not suggest staying during summer months at all. But any other time of year I would consider returning, as it was relatively well positioned for being in a quiet neighborhood, close to bus stops, and a 10 minute walk from Bakerloo. And again, the staff was friend and the room was nice, it's just an old building that is not capable of standing up to our changing climate.

The hotel is situated in a great location - close to all the main attractions, but in a much quieter area, so away from the crowds. It was great to stay above an authentic English local pub. The staff at the pub were very nice and a special shout out to Ray who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The pub food was very good and the pints of beer were poured to perfection!

Stayed here whilst we had the mini heatwave and it was very hot but the staff were excellent in trying to do everything they could to cool the room down. Would recommend you invest in air con! Particular shout to Ray who was especially helpful. The rooms are over a pub which does really good pizzas until quite late so good if you are arriving a bit later on. A little bit of a walk to the nearest tube stations but also on loads of bus routes.

Spacious room with comfortable bed and good quality bedding. Very clean, a tiny bit dated but nothing to concern yourself about. Location is very close to Lambeth North tube and quite close to E&C tube/station so very easy to get around from there.

The room was very small but adequate the shower room was nice and had been recently updated by the looks of it. The bed was comfy but the biggest drawback was the heat in the room. We were on the top floor and it was stifling they did supply a fan but it didn’t help much. The temperature outside was only 20 degrees so wouldn’t want to stay in this room if it was any hotter. Staff were very helpful.

Staff were lovely. Room very clean. Good coffee machine with milk available from the fridge on the top floor. Noise levels what you would expect from a room above a busy pub. Would stay there again :)

Don’t be fooled by first impressions, yes, it’s not 5 star, but for a reasonable stay in London, it was fine. A bit worn in places. Nice pint downstairs. Imperial War museum round the corner. Gail’s bakery on the same road for a quick breakfast. Initially we used the tube but actually the bus stops outside the pub take you into Central London, either to the Theatre district or over to Kensington, possibly more places. Definitely, wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

A very fabulous pub to stay for a weekend away in london. A staff member said myself and my daughter looked lovely as we went out for the evening. Definitely recommend staying here and will be back again. The food was 10 out of 10, good prices. Well maintained and looked after. Didnt hear any noise at all with it been part of a pub.
