英国のトラディッショナルな雰囲気が味わえます。周りにレストランなどが無いのですが、ホテル内のレストランが良かったです。決して安くはないですが、リブアイステーキが非常に美味しく、コスパは良い印象です。

The hotel is situated on a very busy road which can make it difficult to join traffic as you are leaving the car park. Having said that we were initially fearful that the room would be noisy but with double glazing and the room being at the rear it was fine. There was plenty of parking but my husband has limited mobility and there was no disabled parking bay near to reception which was situated a fair way away from the car park. Check in was quick by a very pleasant receptionist and the room was clean and well equipped (although the furniture was a bit ‘tired’ Overall a very good stay for a very good price, would definitely stay here again in future as we live in France and visit our son and grandchildren who live nearby at least once a year, they don't have room to accommodate us so a decent place to stay at a reasonable price is paramount for us. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat here as we ate with our family at their home.

This hotel is lovely. The rooms are badic but have everything you need. The beds are comfortable, the showers are good and although there was no aircon, there was adequate ventilation. Theres a mirror in the room thats a decent size to see what your outfit looks like. The shower gel smells lush. There were lots of spiders but thats nothing that the hotel can control! The breakfast was good, but the bacon was a little dry. I love the fact they give you a big glass for your morning drink! The staff were friendly and accomodating. Had a great stay and would go again

The hotel is very convenient as it is just off the A1. The set up is nice with the rooms off a central courtyard where you can sit outside, but the room itself we had, was tired and in need of decorating and some TLC. Althought it seemed clean, (bedding and towels seemed fresh), there were some cobwebs, spiders (although it does back onto fields) the windows were old and paint was peeling. The sink and bath had chips and limescale. We had a dog friendly room and it was large enough for us all to have space. The communication with staff was good via email, although we didn't actually see anyone at the venue. Good parking. There was a wedding on, and we were warned before hand that we would not be allowed in the restaurant or bar due to the party. This didn't bother us as we only used it as a stopover, but it was good to have been informed of this before booking the room. The WIFI was good. We do not know what the rest of the hotel was like as we didn't use any if the other facilities.

The outside of the property looks amazing and promises something special. However, the rooms inside are tired and dated and we tried 2 of them because in the first room we discovered as we were preparing for bed an unspeakable sight in the bed. We reported it to the duty manager whose reaction was good and did what she could. There was only one other room available, which, while "ok" was still tired and dated, and a classic rather than the superior we had booked. We got some of our cost refunded but it was not a great experience. Although the hotel is adjacent to the A1 there was no noise to be heard, maybe a low hum if you really strained your ear.Breakfast was fine and the staff helpful and understanding, but we won't be choosing to stay there again.

An excellent hotel. This historic hotel on the A1 near Peterborough is a little gem. Privately owned it has every amenity that you could ask for. The breakfast and dinner are of a very high standard. The team are all friendy and professional. Will definitely be going back.

Yes very good

The radiator was turned off at 8pm because it was pumping out boiling heat. It didn't follow that order until 4 hrs later. To combat this I had to open the window above it wide...unfortunately that opened onto a flat roof, specifically the kitchen roof...meaning our room smelt of food all night and the kitchen extractor was going into the night. I also had to stay awake because the flat roof/open window combination was a security risk with my family in the room. The room was a family room made up of a double bed (barely) a single bed, and a set of bunk beds. The top bunk had some dust and debris on it when we arrived tired and in need of rest, and the ceiling above it was clearly damaged by water, with a big crack and bowing. When I showed this to the staff they did offer to split the group and provide a second room so nobody needed to use the bunk beds. What concerned me was there didn't seem to be any knowledge of the damage prior to our arrival and yet it was obviously damage that had been there a while. I was concerned my child would play with it and pull more down but we managed to talk her out of that. The bathroom door couldn't close so nobody could use the bathroom in peace. The room itself looked clean on arrival except for the top bunk, however the radiator being so hot drew my attention and it was FILTHY down the back and along the bottom. That hadn't been cleaned in a long, long time.

Great evening meal choice at an excellent price. Room was comfortable.

Nice room, in the courtyard (superior double), spacious and modern bathroom. Only downfall was the door to the room had a window in it with no curtain or blind. Bright festoon lights were on all night and shone right in the room. We had to try and stick something over the window but it meant we didn’t sleep well
