Lovely large room on the 2nd floor with a little balcony and huge bed. Extremely comfortable with good facilities and it was nice to have access to the spa. Breakfast was also very nice, with a very good selection and good quality. The hotel is only about a 15 minute walk from tow, so it's in an ideal location with free parking which is always a bonus. Overall a lovely venue for a short break.

Beautiful property, staff helpful and attentive from check in to check out. All staff said hello when passing and asked if we needed help. Pool clean and comfortable. Lovely steam/sauna available. Enjoyed a great evening meal in the hotel, good menu choice, spacious dinning area with wonderful views as mainly glass windows to all aspects. Reasonable price for a hotel.Room was lovely, spacious. Coffee/tea facilities. Quiet room with a beautiful bathroom with complimentary shampoo/body wash and plenty of clean towels to hand. We booked massages and enjoyed both hot stone and aromatherapy full body massage. Ladies changing area was clean and great use of lockers. Loved the whole place, wished I had booked at least 2 night at the Spa hotel.

Well appointed property with historic charm. Lots of parking. Staff were visible and professional. Large room with a great view over the hills. Plenty of space to get ready. Bathroom with bath and powerful shower. Appreciated having an iron in the room. Sustainability could be worked on, replacing water bottles. Breakfast had a good continental offer but service was a bit slow for hot items that didn't arrive too hot. Room for improvement. Didn't get to try the wellness facilities, though it seemed there was additional charges for some.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel - was visiting for a wedding and had an incredibly comfortable stay. The spa was a lovely touch and we used it before heading home.
I'd say the food was hit or miss. I had some really lovely food and also some very disappointing food. The breakfast in particular was very disappointing.

Bathroom area was lacking the attention to detail regarding cleanliness that you would expect of a hotel of this calibre. The long dark hair o the bathroom floor was the trigger, then whilst sitting on the wc, the crustiness of grime around the base of the shower was a shock and whilst the chrome sink trap was nice the black grime or mould around it has obviously built up over time. I was quite surprised that this grime appears to have been allowed to become so established, it must have taken some time to do so, and alas there are still slight isolated spots that remind you that the floor grouting was once white!
