ヴァーヴ ホテル

1809年ごろ建築の建物をリノベーションして使っているようです。そういう歴史ある建物が好きな方にはオススメです。逆に古いので窓の締まりが少し良くなかったり、部屋にたどり着くまでに段差が結構あります。バリアフリーが必要な身体状況の方には向きません。 付近の建物はどこまで歩いても素敵な家が続きます。映画のスクリーンの中の主人公になったような気がする街です。 アンティーク好きには特におすすめ。 すぐ近くでもないけど、歩いて6〜7分のところにコンビニもあります。不便ではありません。

Hotel room wasn’t overly good. Despite being advertised as being soundproof, I could hear people in other rooms nearby. Bathroom was extremely tiny. The male reception staff weren’t particularly friendly and the one who checked me out was very rude. Towels in the room were tiny and only suitable for a small child. Bar staff were very friendly which was a plus. When I checked in, the hotel took a copy of my Driving Licence for security purposes. On checkout, I asked for it to be destroyed but the receptionist couldn’t find it and was incredibly dismissive and rude when I protested and he just walked away. This is very poor and, from a legal standpoint, a breach of GDPR which I am taking further. Absolutely would not stay in this place again and wouldn’t recommend it.

Hotel was fine would stay

The room was lovely; however, the shower cubicle was a bit small, so for a larger person, not much room to move. The bath towels were too small, so again, for a larger person, the towel didn't fully cover. The extractor fan was hit & miss about when it would come on, and it didn't turn off unless we shut the bathroom door, which was odd. The service from the young lady who checked us in was absolutely lovely, couldn't fault her at all. The carpet leading up to the rooms on the 2nd floor is wearing a bit thin & there are patches. Overall though, it was a nice hotel to stay in & i would stay there again.

Very lovely clean and welcoming hotel

Generally the hotel was clean and tidy and I have no complaints about the service or food quality. That said, I was roomed on the ground floor, but the floorboards of the room above were so thin, when the resident walked about it was like a bass drum being played. Ontop of that, the drainage must fave been in a pipe just behind the wall as it sounded like a waterfall when they used the shower/flushed the toilet

Stayed for Bedford Summer Sessions. Not too far to walk to Park and into town centre / train station. Staff super friendly & helpful.

Everything was great, we loved the zebra painting in the room and it was a lovely bonus to have a full fridge freezer too. We would recommend for anyone needing to visit for a show at Esquires, as it's really close.
