Lovely hotel and restaurant and food was top class. Stayed and eaten there now a number of times

The restaurant experience was extraordinary, the reception was the most welcoming, the room was modern and clean. I say, if anyone is in the area, recommend to stay at this hotel and dine at Ivan Vautier. It will bring your Normandy experience on the whole new level . The only issue was our room faced the street and it was noisy all night, had to close the window and then it was ok. Highly recommend this hotel and the restaurant.

It is a nice hotel located outside the city center of Caen. Although listed as 5 star, it would be closer to 4 star in my opinion.

Disappointing experience. The reasons where: First, I always book hotels with a fittnes room as part of my "need to" list. The fitness room in this hotel was "unfortunately" under renovation for 2 months and therefore not available. It was not mentioned anywhere when booking the hotel and the hotel staff was simply indifferent to the lack of fitness room. Secondly, the alleged SPA which was also part of the reason we booked this hotel, was also a disappointment. It was simply a SPA in a room and a sauna. Furthermore, the use required additional payment which would have been acceptable if it was an inviting experience. Thirdly, the breakfast was nowhere near a 5* star experience. It should be somewhere between 3 to 4 stars. The food was reasonable enough but there was a very limited choice of foods. (no vegetables, no eggs, almost no fruit, etc.) In addition, we dined at the Michelin restaurant. The restaurant was not close to being at the level of a Michelin restaturant except for the price. Several dishes were uninteresting without much flavour. Since the waiter spoke no English whatsoever we did get presentation of the dishes and wine and several times we were not served wine before the dish. All in all a disappointing visit to an alleged 5 star hotel. Luckily Normandy is a very nice place and certainly worth the visit.

Mooi hotel met eigen parkeergelegenheid. De kamer en badkamer waren heel ruim en schoon. Gegeten in het sterrenrestaurant. Het was op dat moment heerlijk weer, dus lekker buiten kunnen zitten. Het ontbijt viel een beetje tegen. De eerste ochtend was het wel goed maar tijdens de tweede ochtend werd er slecht aangevuld, terwijl het toen wel druk was met gasten.

Overall good but rooms a bit old

Le Spa disponible en privé c'est du bonheur. nous sommes partis de bonne heure, on nous a permis de prendre le petit déjeuner.

Excellent dinner and service if you are in the area it is a great place to stay or go for dinner. Really nice welcoming staff

Very nice small hotel not too far from the center of Caen. Room was comfortable with all amenities. Restaurant is fabulous!!

Decepcionante

The location is outside city center. There is a nice free parking. The bathroom is spacious. The mattrass is alittle V shape, the TV screen is small and far. The service is excelent.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Very convenient for touring Normandy. Need to replace some of the beds.
