Great hotel, location, friendly staff, and breakfast. The only downside is parking. Don’t bring a car if you can. The free parking lot is often full, and paid parking lots can set you back more than €20 per day. Part of the great location is that it’s a 10 minute walk from the bus station.

Great staff and great location

I had a nice and peaceful time at this lovely hotel. The room was modern and had a relaxing aura to it. The raised hot tub was the highlight of the room. The air conditioning was a plus, and I loved the natural light coming in through the large windows. My particular room didn't have a view, but having access to a communal balcony was a great perk. It made my stay even better. The breakfast was amazing and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. I highly recommend Monastery if you're going to Crete. I came back to add that the location was great for the evenings. The area really comes alive. Somehow it's quiet in the room and then you walk out at night and your smack in a vibe of dinner and fellowshipping.

Cristina was very helpful and attentive, she is great! The hotel is in great localization with a very new structure, but it has strong infrastructure limitations that affect the overall experience and that are not clear when we book it. The property is split in 2 buildings in a tiny street not accessible directly by car. This said, the main thing is one of the buildings does not have a lift/elevator and this is not mentioned in this platform. We are not informed which rooms has a lift or not. Also, the bathrooms are mostly an open space to the rooms or it is hard to keep it dry during a shower. The "a la carte" breakfast also is not a strength, specially when there is a lot of people to attend and you are in a rush.

So conveniently located in such a special building - we had the room with the rooftop bath/jacuzzi - views were very cool. The staff were so kind and helpful - and a special shout out to Iro in the restaurant who made our stay extra special - we can’t wait to tell people to go there. Also - so close to everything without being in the busy area - loved it!

Staff was excellent. Room was clean. Helen and staff was very helpful about things to do and area around. Hotel is very centralized in town.

Everything was great! Very well located, clean. Staff very helpful! The bed is up against the wall so that was the only slight inconvenience. But no problem really! A great choice overall

Amazing stay. Staff was super helpful. Breakfasts were delightful, especially when we discovered that we could order Greek yoghurt, drizzled with honey and with diced fruit. Very refreshing and a perfect beginning to the day. Location is perfect. Parking is a real challenge but we got lucky almost every day finding street parking relatively close by. In short, absolutely wonderful experience.

Room was very clean and spacious. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The included Breakfast is amazing and the hot tub on the roof just puts its over the edge of amazing! Great place, definitely will be back next time I’m in Chania

Excellent location in old town Chania. Lots of great cafes, shops and restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Very nice and clean room. The roof top hot tub was lovely!

The Monastery Estate Hotel in Chania exceeded all our expectations! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful — some of the best service we’ve experienced. Our room was clean, beautiful, and the hot tub was a real highlight. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chania. We’ll be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The best thing about this hotel was the staff- very polite, helpful and friendly. I wish this was the standard around the world. A very big thank you to you all for looking after us. We stayed in the new part of the building- which unfortunately is still being built. The food is amazing- Breakfast lunch dinner à la carte- very delicious. Hot tub in some of the rooms/bathroom-did not try. Overall the hotel is in a very good location and deserves the 5*.
