Words truly cannot describe how much I loved our stay at Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor in Chania. It’s the perfect place to stay right in the heart of Old Town, surrounded by charming shops and incredible food. Our room was spotless and beautifully designed, featuring a cozy bathtub and a lovely private outdoor area with a hot tub, such a relaxing touch.
What truly made our experience unforgettable though, were the two concierges, Maria and Vaggelis. They were the most accommodating, kind, and genuinely sincere hotel staff I have ever encountered. Every time my husband and I came downstairs, one of them would greet us with a warm smile and friendly conversation. They recommended the best restaurants in town and made us feel instantly at home.
We were only in Chania for three days, but I would have gladly stayed longer just because of them.
Thank you, Maria and Vaggelis, for making our honeymoon as magical as it was. We can’t wait to return one day!

Unfortunately sleek, minimal design lacked any kind of soft chair or furnishing in the room.
The air conditioning was controlled at reception.

Despite requesting some warmth we froze. This was particularly bad our first night.

The hotel was in a great location walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shops. Though small the hotel was well appointed with an indoor pool, spa services and a great restaurant that served an amazing breakfast. My personal favorite was the Cretan breakfast for 2, the yogurt is the creamiest I've ever had. The room was comfortable and spacious and had everything you need. The best part of it all was the staff who went above and beyond providing recommendations and simply ensuring we had the absolute best stay. Huge shout out to Georgina and Maria who made our short time in Chania extra special.

Excellent location, staff super helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy with twice a day room service. Only down side was TV didn't work for 4 days despite being brought to house keeping attention which minor but not a true 4 / 5 star service. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

There are not enough good things I can say about this property. It’s beautiful and the staff tend to your every need. Great location. Treat yourself to a stay here. The breakfast is so good, and the staff is so welcoming.

The property is very charming and the staff are lovely, super friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, unfortunately our room was above a busy street with bars and restaurants below and we stayed on Friday and Saturday night so be aware of this factor if you are a light sleeper. We loved the private plunge pool which you can book for an hour once per day during your stay. Its not heated but super refreshing after a hot day in Chania and you can warm up in the hot tub afterwards. The food was delicious, had amazing beef for dinner which was the nicest meal i had all week. Breakfast is also super tasty with pastries and eggs cooked to order from a la carte menu. We loved our visit to the Monastery Estate!
