We were a group of 4. We had two rooms. The entire place was clean and the people there were helpful and pleasant. Meals were delicious. It was a unique place because of its location. Would recommend it.

A very cool hotel.
Our triple room was spacious, and the beds are very comfy.
The owner was very welcoming.
The only thing is there are not much around the area, but it’s only 15-min drive to Stykkishólmur where you can get all you need.

The hotel offers a decent meal, but if you like something else you can drive to Stykkishólmur (20 min) or near Kirkjufell (30 min). We have been lucky to witness the Aurora Borealis at a cloudless night. The 'Hello Aurora' app was supportive.

It was a country guest house. Felt like I was really seeing the la escape and the people. Down a long dirt road off of another gravel road. Stellar views. Peaceful quiet but only 13 km from town where there were dining options other than the onsite restaurant. Would recommend for sure

Very friendly staff. We arrived at 8:50pm and they still offered us dinner from the restaurant, which closes at 9pm. A little interesting to get to, which involved some rough gravel roads up a small hill.

Home Sweet Home- this place is wonderful, very clean, staff friendly and helpful with anything you need ( directions, weather) . Wonderful restaurant inside with best food and drinks. You will feel like visiting your family. Highly recommend, looking forward to stay again in the future.
