Just Guest House is just what you need, if you need a clean and simple place to crash. Their sign also says that hourly rentals are possible, subject to availability. This is wonderful to remember if you have a long layover at the airport, and you want to freshen up. I stayed here two separate times, for a few nights each, in between business and personal trips. The owner is friendly and is sometimes present in the daytime. He is very helpful. The front desk woman is a LOVELY woman with a happy smile at all times. Both were willing to help me with some communication issues that I had, as I am a foreigner who does not speak Tamil. You can’t miss that the floors and rooms are immaculate here. I am not one who needs a fancy place to stay, but I do want a place to be clean and hygienic. Just Guest House is! I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels in Chennai where I’ve seen pests in the hotel. I didn’t see a single one here. The location is right on the corner of Joseph St. and Veeramamunivar St, where there is a colorful, ornate temple arch. You can walk out and find just about anything you need- bottled water, food, clothing, groceries, toiletries, coffee, tea, and beyond. It’s approximately a 15 minute, inexpensive ride to the airport, even with Chennai traffic. Despite being close to the airport, you don’t hear many airplanes passing by. During my 2 trips, I stayed in 2 different rooms. Both had all I needed. The rooms are quiet. The beds are comfortable.

The property is just as promised, very basic facilities but clean and well maintained.

Room was nice and clean. AC, wi-fi and hot water were always available. room cleaning was everyday.
