ザ・バラット・ティオマン

The staff were SO genuine and the hospitality was fantastic. It felt like home with a warm welcome. I feel like they’ve become family.

We enjoyed our stay at the Barat, and thought it was good value for money. We stayed in a family room, it was clean and comfortable apart from a few ants running around. It was great to have a pool, but the pool needs a bit of maintenance as there are tiles coming off and the sides look like they could do with a clean. We used the sun loungers around the pool which are a bit hard but there seemed to be enough of them as the pool was never over busy. The restaurant had a good menu with a wide choice of meals to cater for most tastes including western options. We also walked out to a lovely local restaurant for several dinners, Almond Beach. Overall a nice place to spend a few days.

Perfect place to relax a few days…….

The food we found wasn’t as nice as some of the small restaurants we found in the village. The beds were very hard. We unfortunately are not hard bed people. The staff were all very pleasant and the resort location was the best with lots to do

Needs a lot of maintenance. Old resort . The snorkeling trip through the hotel was so great. Took us to coral island. So cool.

Decent property for the price. A bit far out but plenty of food nearby. Has a private beach too. Cleanliness can be improved and the rooms could use an upgrade (door requires locking from inside). Has a homely vibe and the service was generally good

The property is very nice and well kept. A bit more of training of counter and service personnel will make an experience to all visitors even better. The big issue is the village surrounding has way too much garbage, plastic bottles and others. Payment of fees for island conservation is paid, what is the money used for? A communal cleaning activity should be implemented.

The frequent power trip was a major turn off and the wifi connectivity was almost non existent. The pricing for the room was a bit overpriced as well as there were many other cheaper options within that area. On the brightside the staff were friendly and accomdating.

Traumhafter Strand, tolle Lage, sehr gute Zimmer mit Terrasse, 50 m zum Strand vom Chalet. Pool, Tischtennis, Volleyballplatz und viel Erholung. Unbedingt Schnorchelausflug machen. Links vom Hotel kann man auch Schnorcheln. Uns hat alles gefallen.

4 nuits au Barat bien placé en face de la plage de Juara. Étant de l'autre côté de l'île, l'endroit est paisible et calme. Très peu de restaurants aux alentours et la restaurant de l'hôtel est assez cher. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Bon sejour. Personnel très sympas. Attention, il faut compter 60rm par personne en taxi aller retour depuis tekkek. A réserver avec l'hôtel a l'avance pour être tranquille. C'est le côté le plus 'tranquille' de l'île : belle plage, très calme... Par contre côté bar c'est 2X plus cher que de l'autre côté de Tioman. Compter 12rm la canette de bière. L'hôtel était tout à fait correct, chambres propres.

It is quiet in general. The air compressor and motor bike make a lot of loud noises at 6:00 AM every morning. This disturbed my sleep.

Barat is a decent place out of the other options available nearby the Tekek jetty(though it’s a 30mins ride on a 4*4) my impressions- Room service- below par. Rooms were not attended to properly. No telephone service to call etc. Amnesties- it’s there but dysfunctional. Water supply gets cut off, wifi almost always doesn’t work. Food- Nothing to write home about, limited options, highly priced. After the first day we all preferred to go other places. Barat gets good reviews because the other nearby places are even worse.

everything is bad

The staff super helpful and always willing to help… but the hotel rooms were not clean….the towels were so bad. The dining area was not clean and the cats were wondering around. There were ants everywhere in the room and dining area.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, things that we feel need for improvement, 1. TV was totally an ornament, not sure you placed a TV in the room which totally not functioning. 2. We can smell BBQ from the balcony, so all the time we didn't enjoy sitting at the balcony even though we booked a seafront room, speaking of which this seafront room has plenty of blocking views, so not really worth to take this room. 3. The sliding door of room 112, which we stayed had serious issue, we cannot open and close it, it made huge noise. 4, Hope that staffs can smile more and offer real service (it is very different from the YouTube video I watched), especially in servicing line, every effort counts.

La propreté des chambres et de la piscine sont un peu justes pour ce type d établissement mais le cadre est simplement exceptionnel

Belle chambre avec tres belle vue et accès direct à la superbe plage de juara. Manque un nettoyage regulier des detritus sur les transats plage.

Lovely beach front hotel and fantastic staff. The rooms needed a bit of tlc - basic things like the towels were threadbare, the grouting in the shower room needed a damn good scrub… there were insufficient sun beds on the beach and most had been uncomfortably mended with wooden slats. The restaurant at the hotel was good but there are not many easily accessible other places to eat that were reliably open. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel had random opening hours the next two nearest restaurants one was open evenings and one we only saw open once in a week. The vast majority of restaurants in the resort were closed / rarely open (end of June/early July 2023). We would advise arranging a taxi to get you to the resort from the hotel who were very helpful.
