Great hotel! Second time visiting. Food was not to good or drinks but other then that the stay was good

The resort was clean and we'll maintained. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Excellent facility with great amenities and amazing cordial staff! I have stayed 5 different times and have always experienced a great stay.

Pros: - amazing pools. Like seriously, incredible pools. And you get four resorts worth to pick from, all with slightly different vibes - beachfront. Our room was about as far from the beach as you could get and it was a three minute walk. No golf carts needed - clean. It’s low season, so nowhere near the level of staff you’d typically see. The resort was still very, very clean and you constantly saw people cleaning something - restaurant Tokyo was so, so good. I wish we could have gone more than once Cons: - the buffet food was legitimately the worst we’ve ever had at a Cancun/Riviera Maya all-inclusive. Nothing tasted right, all the meats were incredibly over-cooked, even the fruit (one of the only edible options) was pretty much just melons and the occasion pineapple. The buffets are clean and they try to present things nicely, but everything tastes so bad. - the say paddle boards, kayaks, and more are included. They aren’t. They told us the only time we could take out a paddle board was when there was no wind at all. We went to the desk on a morning with no wind at all and were told it was too windy (seriously. Weather app said 1 mile an hour wind). They don’t even take the paddle boards and kayaks out - I think they just say they have them and use the “wind” as an excuse so you pay for things instead - this isn’t their fault at all, but the sargassum stinks. They don’t remove it except for in front of the paid jet ski area and the adults only. Just be aware!

My family and I have been going for years. We love the hotel and all the amenities available. Room service is great. The spa and gym are always great to use. The entertainment and staff are friendly.

Esta es la segunda vez que voy, y por supuesto que regresaría!! Es un hotel todo incluido y la comida muy buena en especial los restaurantes de especialidad los recomiendo bastante… realmente no tengo nada malo que decir, pues desde el personal de limpieza como los de recepción son muy amables y atentos, los animadores ni se diga!! Pero si me gustaría resaltar la atención de José Moon del bar de la alberca, entre los animadores Jesús, Gabriel, Claudia y las animadoras son muy agradables y tienen toda la actitud para antretener, animar y hacer sentir como en su casa a los huéspedes, en verdad lo recomiendo al 100%

Really nice place, first day PLS make sure you travel the rest of the resorts and understand all the activities available this will help you plan ur days better. the arcade was not included and a few water activities were additional cost as well. overall the staff were super nice and our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. Reserve your restaurants first day. The buffet definitely felt some days were better than others, if you don’t like the food at one place walk a few minutes to the next resort( that’s what we did lol). Muy bonito hotel todo incluido sin salir del complejo, mercado de artesanías, mall, antro, sport bar etc. personal agradable y buen ambiente… habitaciones limpias y áreas comunes excelentes.

We booked 2 rooms at the Caribe and upon arrival we found out that it was changed to Colonial without advanced notice. Drinks at the 2 pool bars were watered down (1 in particular served drinks that were sugar laced and flat). Food at the buffets were stale and obviously constantly re-heated with the same selections each day. Rooms were dated . My tv had a cracked screen, flickering lights in the bathroom and USB charging ports did not work with limited outlets. Lawn sprinkler was aimed directly at our sliding door.

It was frustrating to get a drink at the Swim bar every day we were there. There was not very many people to help get us a drink. The food at the buffet was OK but the restaurants when you make reservation was really good. When we first checked in, they were confused because we booked at this hotel but they had us at their sister company so that was a little frustrating. The beds were amazing and the air-conditioning was terrific and a lot of staff were really nice though.

An amazing resort. Staff was great, welcoming. The rooms were clean, property was well taken care of. Food was very good for all inclusive.

Stayed here for family vacation. Once we arrived we got word that we did not have a reservation for Barcelo Maya Caribe, which left us very confused since we booked this specific hotel. We were told they moved our reservations/rooms to the hotel next door but still have access to the Caribe. We were very frustrated since that is NOT what we paid for or booked for. The lady gave us attitude when we told them we will not have our reservation hotel changed without our knowledge, especially since the other hotel was jankier than the Caribe. Having to deal w/ that right from the start left a bad vibe for this place. The stay/hotel overall was great. The pools, beach, seating areas, restaurants, and the mall with shops was so amazing! Only other complaint is the staff at the pool bars. You ask for a drink and they look at you crazy and don't even acknowledge you most of the time. The pool bar staff were the only rude staff members there. Otherwise 10/10 stay.

Went with a big group to celebrate a birthday. Made dinner reservations and once everyone was at the restaurant was told they couldn’t accommodate everyone. When we arrived the AC wasn’t working for hours! About three rooms doors were extremely hard to open. On our last night at one of the restaurants, we did not the cake that we ordered and paid for! Having flowers delivered for the birthday was beyond difficult as staff did not want delivery drivers to enter the hotel. It was low season and we were celebrating a 15 year old birthday. They could have definitely done better to be more helpful. Super disappointed on the service and unfortunately will not be coming back.

Excelente Servicio

Everything about the hotel was great, except for some of the guests. We stayed there for almost two weeks, and on the weekends there was a group of guests (most likely locals) who were very loud and inconsiderate. On Saturdays and Sundays, they would bring their own loudspeakers and play extremely loud, annoying music in the silent pool area. They were also noisy late at night, and on two occasions we were woken up around 2 a.m. by them shouting and making noise in the hallways. In addition, they were quite rude. On one occasion, they moved our towels and belongings from our pool chairs and took the seats while we were in the pool, as if nothing had happened. Despite this, we had a wonderful stay and would still recommend the hotel. The property, staff, and facilities were excellent. I only hope that management addresses the issue of guests bringing their own speakers and enforces the rules in quiet areas more strictly to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.

I've been here several times over the past few years. Always the best resort in the area! Staff is unparalleled in their professionalism, facilities are immaculate and the amenities are really unlimited. Highly recommend for everyone, family, solo, couple! 5 resorts for one.. And a mall in the middle of the jungle!
