This 80 year old hotel is in a great area my room faced the ocean and the beautiful waves crashing like a lulaby at night. The room was clean and comfortable a bit musty smelling becausec of the dampness but that went away with the patio doors open and sunlight in the room. I loved the 9 pools the lovely plantings the excellent staff the aquafit and the complementary breakfast buffet. Right on the beautiful beach . Great for families and holidayers

Las condiciones de la playa, las albercas, el gimnasio y los restaurantes nos parecieron excelentes. El personal siempre se portó muy amable y atento.
La habitación que nos tocó era un tanto austera. Sólo tenía 2 camas, una mesa y una barrita alargada para poner las cosas. No tenía otros muebles. No tenía caja fuerte (tuvimos que pedirla y nos llevaron una).
Por lo demás, disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia en Hotel Playa Mazatlan.

Pros were Cleanliness, staff, location, beach, quiet room and bed in the north tower.
Cons, buffet food no hot, bands loud in afternoons at the beach area, drinks not great, wish I would have NOT done the all inclusive.

The staff was absolutely amazing.
Food at the buffet was ok, the ala carts were better but the reservation process was frustrating.
Pool bar wasn’t open as advertised.
Lounge chairs were far and few between, also very uncomfortable.
No sound proofing, hallways were very echoey and loud.
We were on our honeymoon (which they were aware of) and we were put on a floor with loud young families and young party people.
Nightly entertainment was very disappointing.
Birds everywhere in the buffet and pools.
We will not stay there again or recommend it to anyone

Es un hotel agradable, tiene 70 años, pero para la antigüedad, está bien conservado. Una excelente opción para llegar a dormir, las habitaciones son cómodas; sin embargo, no tiene ninguna característica excepcional o amenidades extra que hagan que destaque. Es un hotel que cumple a secas. El internet es un poco lento, si vienes a trabajar no es la mejor opción. La comida y las bebidas están bien, pero nada extraordinario.

We enjoyed the design of Playa Mazatlan – – the low rise building, the cabanas at the beach, staff are very friendly and a great location with ocean view room.
We enjoyed the breakfast of a large buffet selection of healthy, typical Mexican food.
