Absolutely everything was wonderful from the minute we checked in until the moment we checked out! The pool was awesome! The staff was amazing! The food was very good and we never went hungry! The drinks were plentiful! The staff always went above and beyond! The entire grounds were beautiful! If I had to make a complaint, it would be with the Coatis! They are absolutely obnoxious and I wish you could get rid of them, or quarantine them off. You offer food on the beach with picnic tables for people to sit, but most can't sit there because these obnoxious animals will actually jump on the table and steal people's food. It scary and dangerous. I have actually seen them grab food right out of people's hands! I really detest these animals. I think maybe fencing in the food eating area may help. That would actually be my only complaint. Our first trip here was 21 years ago, and we absolutely love the Iberostars. Lots has changed, but we still keep coming back. Thank you for another wonderful vacation!

The property is beautiful and natural. Lots of animals. It was clean and workers were always quietly working. Took awhile for rooms to be cleaned and no towel animals or anything. Very basic clean. Staff were great and helpful. Japanese restaurant was our favourite. Mexican restaurant was also awesome. Food got bland after a few days. Lots of seafood, if you like seafood.

The property was beautiful and well kept. The food was a huge let down. It felt like a chore to eat every day. Staff were great. Its a big property so we definitely got a lot of steps in daily. It was so nice to see all the animals around

Great greenery and wildlife. Lots of restaurant choices. Beach was good and liked that there was food available. Rooms decent, although beds a bit on the firm side. Nighttime shows were great.

This was the nicest family resort that I’ve ever been to. The food was amazing, I’ve never been to a place with such a friendly attentive staff. Pool was great and huge. Extremely beautiful, clean and well taken care of property. After traveling around the Caribbean for 20 plus years this place impressed me the most.

It’s a big resort takes a bit to figure out where to go at first. Tons of things to do.For the size of it is super clean and the grounds are beautiful with a diversity of wild life. The beach is beautiful can be hard to find spots as too many people throw their towels on the loungers and walk away. Pools are great weather you are looking for quite places or something a little more entertaining.The staff is so friendly and welcoming can’t say anything bad about the staff top notch all around and very attentive. Lobby bar gets lively in the evening which is fun to mingle with other guests if you want. Tons of food options did 5 al la carte dinners and the buffet was amazing (you don’t want miss Mexican night at the buffet). The family and I feel a little homesick coming back to our home after our stay because we had such a wonderful time in Mexico .Highly recommend Iberostar.

Booked the Waves beach. Was put into the Del Mar resort. Not the biggest deal but I booked the Beach one for a reason. They assured me it's the same. Had same access to both but I paid more to book the nicer one. Was also promised 6 waterpark passes and 2 massages to listen to the 90 minute time share presentation. Got waterpark passes that were restricted to only the slides. No wave pool or lazy river. Kids were disappointed so we didn't use them. Booked 2 massages for the 2 adult women. They went and were denied. Said the passes were not for that. Why allow them to book it and have them come and waste time then. Very misleading pitch to commit 10-30 years and 30-300k of USD and then screw with what was promised. Also 90 minutes? Nope try 3 hours and broken promises. With that all being said we made the best of it. Very good food. Clean pool. Fun beach. Drinks were good. Kids had fun. Just a very disappointing first 2 days with being mislead and put in the resort we didn't want or I'd have booked it. I stopped at consierge 3 times and no attempt was made to fix either of the situations.

Overall I had a bad experience regarding food room and drinks

We’ve been 3 times to iberostar waves paraiso beach. The child friendly check in, buffet area and star camp drop in were wonderful.

Stayed 10 days at Paraíso Beach, which also granted access to Del Mar amenities. Approx. 33 minutes from Cancun airport. Buffet had many daily options and some theme nights which for the most part was really good for a buffet and much better than I have experienced at other all inclusive resorts. Pools are large but not heated with a lovely tropical feel with many daily activities and sun loungers. However, there was only poolside drink service 4 out of our 10 days. The resort is very large and can be difficult to get around for older people or with mobility issues and young kids. Although they have golf carts (bus service), you can be waiting 15min plus to get a ride depending on time of day. Distance from lobby to beach is a good 15 min walk. A disappointing feature for me is that you cannot see the beach or ocean from anywhere on the resort. You have to go down winding wooden paths through the mangroves (1-2 min) before hitting the beach. Lack of loungers in the non VIP section and no beach service. The ocean in this area is very rough and swimming is difficult. Overall wonderful stay but will most likely look for smaller resort in future.

VERY LARGE PROPERTY, THEY HAVE MANY GOLF CART SHUTTLES TO GET AROUND IN, FROM LOBBY TO BEACH PROBABLY 1 KM. ,POOLS ARE GREAT WITH MANY ALL DAY ACTIVITIES, DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS FINDING BAR STOPS FOR COLD DRINKS.

Loved my stay! I’m definitely sticking to Iberostar properties and the standards they offer. Just beauty inside and out! Special mention to Bren at the concierge! She made my trip so lovable that I’m almost in tears on my way back to Canada. Thank you Iberostar for such a lovely and comforting stay!

Yes, everything was perfect

Beautiful resort but just a bit too much walking. It was way too big to walk every day. They have golf carts but they only come around every 15 min. Not enough food and bars throughout the extended pool areas. Had to go all the way to the ocean to get a burger and fries for lunch. I think one of the biggest disappointments for me was not enough service staff. I am used to going on vacation and having staff get my drink order and tipping them. In the 10 days I was there I saw 1 lady and her main job was to clean up glasses NOT get drink orders. I also noticed long waits in restaurants. Beautiful landscaping but just wish there would have been more ice and drink stands / bars throughout the resort. The maid service was good at making towel animals on the bed but yet left the bathroom mirror dirty and did not refresh towels everyday. Overall happy, plenty of wildlife around but sadly I would not stay here again simply because of size and service staff.
