Et lidt slidt hotel. Men generelt ok til prisen

I was bumped over to Movenpick, the sister hotel to Mercure on the shared property. Rooms at Movenpick have been redone and are nicely fitted out. The gym is awesome. The pool and pool area also awesome. There’s a coffee and pastry shop— excellent. And a nice restaurant whose primary fault is that there are only two fish dishes: Norwegian salmon and prawns. There’s a pizza place located within Mercure.

The Mercure is excellent value for money. I've stayed at its sister hotel, Movenpick, located on the same sprawling property, back when it was the Safari Hotel. As a guest of the Mercure, you have access to the excellent gym in the Movenpick. The Mercure has an excellent restaurant and is known for its pizza which I highly recommend. There is an outdoor pool as well as a coffee shop and a high-tented outdoor sitting area. Very nice indeed. My room was a bit dated but spotlessly clean and with all the necessary amenities. The air con worked flawlessly and power is dependable (unlike a lot of cities across Southern Africa). Plugs are UK, South Africa, and EU style plus USB. Two drawbacks: first, the absence of hot water in the shower. Maybe it would eventually come, but I wasn't willing to waste the hundreds of litres of water in the wait. So a quick lukewarm shower was what I had. Alternatively, you could have a hot shower at the gym at Movenpick. Second, room service was painfully slow. The food was good and hot when it arrived, but waiting nearly an hour was a disappointment. Nevertheless, I'd happily stay here again.

Hotel em boas condições, com alguns quartos reformados, outros mais antigos, mas no geral muito bons. Café da manhã internacional, muito completo e saboroso. Quartos espaçosos, limpos e roupa de cama de alta qualidade. Empregados educados. Único ponto negativo foi na indicação de taxi pelos funcionários do hotel. Indicam taxis privados muito mais caros, abusivos em relação aos preços médios de mercado e por aplicativo.

Mercure offers fabulous buffet for breakfast and lunch. People in the restaurant are very helpful and prompt. Room is spacious and great. Everything is good except for check-in experience. We did pre-paid, but they were not certain whether we paid. THe check-in took more than 40 min. Other guests said similar experience

I spent 2 weeks at the Mercure Hotel on a work trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and the facilities were clean and very comfortable.

Accessibility is my priority.

Das Safari Hotel ist zur Zeit geschlossen. Alle auf Safari Hotel gebuchten Gäste werden im Safari Court Hotel aufgenommen und erhalten damit ein Upgrade. Das hat mich sehr gefreut. Die Küche hat mich aber sehr enttäuscht. Die Fleischqualität war unter allem Niveau.
