天井が高く、窓も大きく快適でした。朝食のチョイスも豊富です。滞在中にホテルでイベントがあり、朝食は混み合いました。

Exquisite design. Every detail thought of and documented.

Vi var tidlig ute og skulle vente på at rommet ble ledig. Ansatt glemte oss så måtte purre etter en halv time. God frokost, men helt fullt i matsalen og vi måtte spørre etter kaffe og rydding av bord. Vært der i vinter og da var det helt utmerket men med fullt hotell ble det litt kaotisk. Noe av varmmaten var ikke gjennomvarmt så ble litt skuffet, når det er ganske dyrt å bo der. Men rommene er helt nydelige og fantastiske bad.

Absolutely perfect location to explore Oslo - short walks to the Opera House, Munch Museum, shopping, restaurants and the train station. Amazing restoration of the former Norwegian American Shipping Lines offices. Top of the line breakfast buffet included. Excellent service and very friendly staff.

Only there for a night but it was all perfect. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. The room was fine but as the outside temperature increased so did the room temperature, in spite of the supposed “air conditioning”. The first night the temperature was comfortable, on the second night it was warm and on the third night it was hot and we could not sleep. Upon checkout, I complained to the young lady at the front desk (same person that checked us in) and she apologized and asked if we had not gotten a fan. I told her that we did not. She told me that she would issue a credit for that night. After over week and no credit, I followed up with the hotel on several occasions and got no response. I also followed with Expedia and the hotel told them that they would make no adjustment to my bill. I do not recommend staying at Amerikalinhen because the a/c does not work and management cannot be relied upon.

Tasty breakfast with countless options

Great location, pity the property is not kept very well. The lobby felt messy upon checking in. Cleaning carts in the corridor almost all day. With the right management, it has potential for improvement.

Hyggelig personalet, men Overpriset dette døgnet. Veldig varmt rom. Dårlig lufteanlegg. Bestilt rom som ikke var klart før 1,5 time etter innsjekkingspunkt. God frokost.

Kjipt at et såpass flott hotell ikke har aircondition, da det var 30 grader ute. Vifte var bedre enn ingen, men komforten var ikke helt det vi forventet

The hotel is right beside the central railway station and so ideal as a base for exploring. We arrived at the start of a heatwave and clearly none of the hotels in Norway are equipped to handle these conditions. Consequently the room was uncomfortably hot. This was not really the fault of the hotel and in all other respects the facilities and service were excellent

While their facade and inside are cute and a throwback to the olden days with a wood burning stove smell all the time, their AC system could not keep the rooms cool!! So we had to sleep in bare minimum with no covers and it was still HOT! The second day they brought us a fan but it barely helped. The last day we asked for a 1.5 hour late checkout and they allowed us without a charge saying in lieu of bearing the hot weather. I don’t think that would be a fair trade off!
