I was double charged for my stay at Central Hotel Panama on an Expedia pre-paid reservation. The hotel mistakenly charged my card again for the stay, which the front desk acknowledged and confirmed was an error. It has now been over two weeks since the charge, and the refund has still not been processed.

Breakfast and live music was excellent.

Staff could not adjust the heat—too cold Staff did not know how to work the TV Too much noise from the square Only two small water bottles. Obnoxious to have candy laying all over place. Tried to sell over priced tours The pool was miniature

Central Hotel was a great experience and made us feel like VIP's. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Also with an amazing location in the center of Casco Viejo. There were many restaurants and stores and with many walkable areas. The view from our room was amazing as it overlooked the plaza and Cathedral. Would highly recommend.

We verbleven in een familiekamer en deze kamers grenzen aan de centrale lobby, waar iedere avond live muziek was tot 23:30u. Deze kamers zijn niet aan te raden voor een gezin met kleine kinderen. Het verblijf was verder goed, heerlijk ontbijt en leuke omgeving.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere. The hotel is located centrally in Casco Viejo and is walkable to all the attractions in the old city. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast but the vegetarian and vegan options are limited. Recommend this hotel for a great stay in Casco Viejo.

The hotel was exactly what we expected. The staff were excellent and the hotel was very clean. Carlos, Anita, Jorge, and Darwin were great! If you want to experience Old Panama City, this is the place to be.

What really stood out was the staff at reception – they were outstanding! So friendly, helpful, and attentive from the moment we arrived. They made us feel truly welcome and took care of every little detail. Dining was a highlight too. We ate at the Bistro restaurant, and the food was delicious – creative and flavorful with some unique Panamanian touches. They even provided a sommelier with expert advice on wine selection, who helped us pick the perfect pairings for our meal. It elevated the whole dinner experience! The breakfast buffet was another winner – so many options, from fresh fruits and pastries to local specialties. Everything was fresh and tasty; we looked forward to it every morning.

Great location in the heart of the old city.

Two main problems - private transfer did not show up after 1.5 hours’ waiting and repeated assurances he would be there “in 10 minutes”. I paid for a hotel transfer so we wouldn’t have to deal with dodgy taxi drivers at a strange airport after 17 hours of travel with an 83 year old. So not cool. Ended up the authorized taxi was fine and saved us some money. Second issue - the Family Room was very very small. Two feet between the beds, had to walk over a bed to close the drapes, no chair to sit on and nowhere to put suitcases other than upright next to the beds. The alternative Family Room we were shown was exactly the same. So be aware. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and professional and

Nice hotel in the historic center, excellent location for sightseeing and walking around at night.
