I would first like to thank the wonderful staff at Montina, friendly, pleasant, helpful every one of them. The facilities were good, nothing fancy especially if one is used to Western standards but very comfortable, very clean, everything one would need including excellent A/C, comfy bed, very nice big, spacious shower, good lighting, nice, cold mini fridge, free drinking water and that was in a "budget room." Good restaurant with plenty of choices, ice cold beer at the open air bar/restaurant/pool area. Great roof top deck with really nice view of the town and ocean. Overall, I was impressed for my stay, 2nd place I've visited and stayed in the Philippines on a 6-8 month trip and I would recommend this property highly. For foreigners, especially many of my fellow Americans, as I've traveled now on my 5th continent, the Philippines and many other countries are not the same as you may be used to and things are just different. Please keep that in an open mind and you will have a great time.

I stayed for a night, the room was clean and comfortable. I was expecting a clear view of the sea, however that's not the case as there is a structure on top of the restaurant that blocks the view. Food at the restaurant is pricey.

Service was great... staff were awesome... the resort was nice especially the view but there was no sandy beach to speak of but totally my fault for not researching extensively. The food was not at all what we expected... we were excited to try the food so the very first thing we tried the morning after our arrival were pancakes... sad to say that it was tough, bland and not appetizing to look at so we had to order the divers breakfast and it was mediocre to say the least. We did give it another chance on the day we were about to leave and chose the chef’s special i think... i forgot the name but it was macaroni with cheese sauce and it did not look like what we saw in the picture but i would have to say that it tasted the best out of everything we’ve tried. Thank you for the stay in any case as we had a wonderful family vacation :)
