デカンタ ホテル

週末は近所のBarなどで開催されてるパーティーで割と賑やかなので、音がすると眠れないという人は注意！私は平気なタイプだったので、みんな元気だなーと思いながらすやすや眠れました（笑）スタッフの方がとてもご親切で、次回もまたここに泊まりたいです。

My family of four just spent 2 days at the Decanter Hotel on the tail end of our 10-day Puerto Rico adventure (Rincon, Culebra, Viejo San Juan). We were so impressed by the convenient and central location of the hotel, along with the spacious, well-appointed, clean rooms. The hotel has terrific character that fits in so well with this amazing town. It is in front of the 2nd oldest church in the Americas, and an easy walk to all key points of Old San Juan. Check-in was easy. There is a great rooftop bar (Coco Old Fashioned = yummy). And they have an amazing coffee machine that I wish I had in my own house. This is definitely a place to strongly consider staying.

Decanter was wonderful! The beds could have been more comfortable but overall it was a great place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay at this property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room (suite) was clean and comfortable. I'll be staying here on my return to San Juan.

Daniel was the ultimate superstar on our trip - knew us by name, gave great recommendations and made us feel VIP. Would recommend Decnater to friends.

Clean, great AC and helpful staff up front

El hotel está bien situado, pero no compensa la calidad-precio, es un hotel, muy sencillo, ruidoso, y faltaba cuidar detalles de limpieza, sobre todo el baño del lobby.

Such a convenient and amazing place to stay.

Loved the historical building with some old world charm with rooms being up to date with all amenities. Our room had a squeaky mattress when sitting on the edge of the bed. Also, no hot water in the shower…..but would stay there again!

Did not like that there was no fridge in the room. Only offer hot complementary beverages. They should offer cold beverages and cold water. It is too hot outside for hot coffee and chocolate

The room was tiny and oddly laid out. The bed was an Ikea style murphy bed with a broken frame, the balcony was spacious with nice views, but the metal furniture was showing rust and the plastic lounge chairs had no cushions, so they were hard, hot and uncomfortable. At check in, I was asked for a credit card, and told it was for a $250 charge if I smoked in the room. I don't smoke anything, so I had no issues. When we returned from dinner, the lobby smelled of Marijuana so strongly, that both my husband and i asked if we got to charge a smoking deposit, to the hotel staff... there were no other guests in the lobby, only the night clerk. Who, I might add, was very nice and did offer assistance with the broken bed frame. The common spaces are lovely, and I now understand that the room I rented doubles as a conference room, with 2 adjoining rooms. But sleeping on an Ikea quality murphy bed was not the Old San Juan experience I was promised. Decanter, will not be my first choice next time I visit P.R.

The stuff were very helpful and welcoming

We loved Hotel Decanter. The staff was really sweet and helpful giving us ideas on good food and places to go eat or drink. Old San Juan is beautiful but it can be difficult to walk with the uneven pavement, 16th century cobble stone streets, and hilly terrain. That said, staying here made navigating old town San Juan a breeze! You are never more than 2-3 blocks from anything you could possibly want to do or see down there, so the location is ideal!! We had a French Balcony room. It was clean and spacious. Lots of natural light during the day. Girls may want to bring a small lighted vanity mirror though as the only mirror in the room was not in a well lit area. If I was forced to find a fault with the room, it would be that the French balcony’s view was less than desirable. We faced toward the cathedral which was fine but the neighbors have roof top access and that was apparently where they let their two dogs relieve themselves. So our rooftop view was mostly dog excrement. To be fair, that isn’t the hotel’s fault. But, if I was going to stay here again, which I 100% would do and would recommend anyone do, I probably wouldn’t pay for a balcony room and would be content with an interior room. Another real perk of staying at hotel decanter is the rooftop bar. We didn’t have any of the food but the menu had some delicious tapas. The drinks were fantastic, and the view was good. The best part was the cooling breeze. I recommend ending your evening here. Overall, loved our stay!

Great location front desk was really nice

Daniel made our check-in a breeze – he was so attentive and helpful, even providing us with parking tips. We really appreciated how convenient the hotel's location is; you're truly in the heart of it all, with amazing dining and sightseeing options just a stroll away.

Great place in the heart of old San Juan

Our stay in this hotel was very pleasant. Sofia and Daniel were very helpful and very friendly.

If you want to have the Old San Juan vacation experience, Decanter is a great place to stay.
