Lovely large room with balcony and view of the pool and garden. Very comfortable large bed. We couldn’t get the coffee maker to work, but one of the staff managed to when she was able to leave the reception area. Room was very clean except the tv remote controls, good air conditioning. Very nice bar and restaurant, the food was very good and the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food. The pool was refreshing (unheated, but it was 35’C outside!) we would definitely stay here again

Exceptional stay, friendly staff, and the perfect Basque Country base!This was my first time visiting the Basque Country, and it did not disappoint. I traveled here for the EPRC finals and to catch up with a friend I hadn’t seen in nearly twenty years.I chose Durango as my base because it is an easy 40-minute train ride into Bilbao. The hotel itself is ideally located—just a 10-minute walk from the station and close to local shops, restaurants, and beautiful historic buildings. Having stayed at Silken hotels before, I had high expectations, and I wasn't disappointed. It is a beautiful property featuring a nice restaurant, an onsite spa, and a lovely garden area for outdoor dining.The hotel staff were super friendly and welcoming, even using my name after just a few days. The breakfast was good, and my room was large, spotlessly clean, and featured great air conditioning with multiple aspects. The bed was comfortable, so I slept very well. The bathroom also had a nice, powerful shower and decent-sized towels.I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return. While I suspect I was very lucky with the great weather during my trip, the hotel's excellent amenities make it a fantastic choice rain or shine.

旅の最終日、Bilbao空港へのアクセスが容易と思い予約。サンセバスチャンとビルバオをつなぐ高速からアクセスが容易。
とはいえ街は一通が多く、迷いました。
一通覚えればあとは大丈夫でしたが、、、
ホテルは本当の古い歴史的な建物でなく
近代建築の古いもの。駐車スペースは地下で、直接エレベーターで上がれますが、知らないと荷物を階段持ち上げる羽目になります。
バスルームは清掃されていますが老朽化してます。
wifeはアンテナはたつが使えなかった。
それが一番辛かった。
ホールのパソコンで情報仕入れたり、搭乗手続きしました。
スタッフは英語話せて、親切でした。
お食事はしていません。

Beautiful hotel, the room was lovely and clean and the staff were very kind - especially the cleaners who did an amazing job and kept our room consistently fresh and clean. The hotel is within walking distance of the town - full of restaurants and shops that are relatively cheap. We paid £542 for 1 room for 5 nights over the period of July 1st to July 6th which included use of the pool. Food was expensive, ranging from €20-€50 for lunch so we ate within the town (K2 kebab we love you). It met our expectations for things to be a bit more costly as we would be staying over the 4th of July however we did not expect to be restricted pool access. We were notified the day before check in that the pool would be closed for a private event from 5pm-9pm on the 4th of July during extremely hot weather and high UV, we booked our stay months in advance. We kindly inquired with the reception staff about potentially going to the spa free of cost (€18 per hotel guest) to amend the time with the pool we lost however, much to our disappointment, they said no. We paid £122 for the night of July 4th alone (in comparison to the other nights, which ranged from £78 to £108) choosing this hotel specifically for the pool access and lost this with last minute notice and no compensation which we found very dissatisfactory. I would not recommend going here during national/international holidays or events.

The building is beautiful from the outside, but it is in desperate need of maintenance and renovation on the inside.
The only positive aspects of my stay were the breakfast buffet, which was excellent, and the housekeeping staff. The cleaning team did an outstanding job and kept the rooms clean and well maintained throughout my stay.
Overall, despite a few positive points, I would not consider this a true four-star hotel and would not choose to stay here again.

This hotel is not a four-star hotel.
First, as soon as you arrive, you are faced with a long flight of very steep stairs just to reach the reception area. The hotel clearly states that there is no bellhop service, so you will have to carry your own luggage. If you are not in good physical condition, this can be quite challenging.
Second, the hotel advertises a gym, but it is not actually part of the hotel. It is a separate facility next door, must pay an additional €6 to use it per day
Third, the hotel claims to have a spa, but access costs €18 per hour.
If you are a business traveler and need reliable internet, be prepared for disappointment. The Wi-Fi connection is extremely poor in most areas of the hotel. I had to work from the terrace because there was virtually no usable connection in my room. I contacted the staff, and they moved me to another room that supposedly had better internet, but the speed was still terrible—less than 1 Mbps when I tested it.
The building itself is beautiful from the outside, but the interior is in serious need of maintenance. The carpets in the rooms are stained and dirty. If you look closely at the lower sections of the doors, you will see chipped paint and poor repair work throughout the property. Overall, the hotel does not appear to be well maintained.
Parking is another major issue. The hotel charges €20 per day for parking, which is expensive. Unfortunately, you will likely have no choice but to pay for it because there is not parking

schönes 4 Sterne Hotel, direkt in der Nähe des Stadtkerns von Durango.
Check-In war sehr angenehm, das Personal ist mehrsprachig
Unser Zimmer selbst war leider sehr dunkel (Blick aus dem Fenster auf einen begrünten Hang), aber sehr nett eingerichtet und sauber. Bequeme Betten, leider mit getrennter Matratze im DZ, kein Topper)
Parkplätze/Tiefgarage sind mit 20€ relativ teuer, die Parkplätze sind begrenzt und auch sehr eng (va. mit einem größeren Auto). In der näheren Umgebung gibt es leider sonst wenig Ausweichmöglichkeit wegen der Anwohner.
Restaurant (Frühstück und Abendessen) haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen, da wir tagsüber immer unterwegs waren.
Für jegliche Annehmlichkeiten wie Gym oder Pool musste man zahlen, der Außenpool war trotz knackigen 30 Grad noch nicht geöffnet.
Hotel ist definitiv empfehlenswert, wenn man es als Ausgangspunkt für (Tages-)Ausflüge nutzt; Durango selbst hat wenig zu bieten

Henkilökunnan englanninkielen taito oli välttävää, saatiin kuitenkin asiat hoidettua. Autolla saapuessa ei ole muuta vaihtoehtoa kuin maksaa 20€ parkkimaksu, joka selviää vasta varauksen jälkeen. Huone oli ihan siisti, mutta selvästi vastamaalattu öljypohjaisella maalilla. Hajua kesti juuri ja juuri yhden yön. Aamiainen oli ihan OK. Hieno rakennus, mutta henkilökunta ehkä kuitenkin lähempänä kolmea tähteä kuin viittä.

Muy muy limpio, la condición del lobby excelente. Pero los cuartos ya están un poco viejos y desgastados. La cama muy cómoda aunque las almohadas un poco planas. Algo que esperaba encontrar era una cafetera o tetera para hacer té o café. El desayuno buffet excelente y muy rico, diario lo mismo pero la calidad excelente 100% vale comprarlo. El personal excelente desde concierge, limpieza y restaurante. 100% nos quedamos otra vez ahí.
