Property is like 1 km away from the main Ella town , but scheduled but the view from the hotel is amazing , best sunrise view, nicely managed , staff is amazing and very helpful

The resort enjoys a wonderful view of the valley and the staff are incredibly friendly. Each room enjoys a breathtaking view and a high risk of visits by the local monkeys. We ranked the resort as average because of the price point and poor amenities. The property is twice as expensive as neighboring properties, but without the amenities or services. We would have given 4 or 5 stars if the property presented itself as a hostel and not like a resort. Also of note, guests are required to climb steep stairs to enter or depart the property.

Unpaved rode getting to this place. Construction in progress. Steps going down to rooms uneven and no railings. Room spacious and basic. No decor. Love the shower and balcony overlooking the mountains. Staff very friendly.

I had a fantastic stay at Ella Alpine Resort! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my visit memorable. They were incredibly helpful in arranging all my activities, ensuring I got the most out of my time in Ella. Each morning, I was treated to a delicious homemade breakfast, which was a perfect way to start the day. The property itself is spotless and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The real highlight, though, is the breathtaking view—it overlooks the valley, creating a stunning backdrop for a truly serene experience. I really enjoyed my stay at Ella Alpine Resort - amazing views, super friendly and helpful staff going out of their way to make your stay pleasant. They prepared super tasty dinner for me and breakfast for take away as I had an early train. Highly recommended👌💯

The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views and a great breakfast. A 15 minute walk or 5 minute Tuk Tuk into town. Highly recommended!

Well worth the room rate. Beautiful view from the room. Manager was very very helpful. Not easy for a car to get to from the main part of Ella but easy to walk.

A simple lodge with awesome views! I was gently greeted by the rising sun. No Aircon but temperatures were between 16 to 18 degrees Celsius in the early morning. You need to be moderately fit to climb down 2 flights of stairs to reach your room. The road up is very tight and big cats may have difficulties going uphill in the tight environment. Hotel manager Priyanatha helped me book a very punctual Tuk Tuk that fetched me up and down. Thank you!

The staff members are great. Property is a bit old but clean and functional with a fabulous view. However access to the property is slightly difficult.

This is the perfect place to stay! Beautiful/modern facility, excellent breakfast/dinner options and able to walk into town. Very spacious room with a stunning view of the mountain side. The staff could not have been more helpful/nice/attentive.

Nestled in Ella on WaterFalls Rd is the ‘Ella Alpine Resort’ offering a serene stay, great views and service. We booked a 4-night stay and our room was clean & comfortable. I requested a hair dryer and one was promptly delivered! Currently under new ownership and undertaking improvements, the owner kindly checked in via WhatsApp, before arrival, on arrival and during our stay. The new onsite manager, Priyanatha is also amazing! He was welcoming and made our stay very comfortable and memorable. Breakfast (if your room includes this) was always prepared fresh by the cook with delicious fresh fruit & juice each day to your liking or request. On one night we requested dinner (as we were returning late after a day trip) and this was made to our requests and was also yummy! The property is walking distance to the town Center or a tuk tuk will also get you there. Only issue is the road to access the property. I know this has nothing specifically to do with the Alpine Resort! However many hotels, resorts, home stays, rooms to rent are on this road and it would be awesome if they banded together to ensure access is improved. Currently some sections are narrow and difficult to drive making it difficult for cars and even the Tuktuks! Recommend this hotel for a wonderful getaway from the noise and bustle of the town. Night skies are just awesome!

The Service was excellent as well as the views. Relax, quite and a nice fresh fruit breakfast.

Litet hotell uppe på berget. Avskilt tyst och pittoreskt. Personalen service var det som gjorde hela vistelsen bra.

Boende med magisk utsikt. Rummet var simpelt men fullt funktionellt och helt precis vad vi behövde. Utsikten från rummet är fantastisk. Personalen är supertrevliga och väldigt snabba på att svara på frågor. Boendet har endast tre rum vilket gör att boendet känns väldigt privat. Ligger ca 10 minuters gång från centrum (perfekt enligt oss).

Loved my stay at the Ella Alpine Resort! The views are amazing and the owner is so nice and accommodating. Breakfast with an incredible view was just an added bonus to get the morning started.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ella Alpine Resort. Our host went out of his way to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Breakfast varied everyday and this place had the best WiFi so far in Sri Lanka. Beautiful views and an easy walk to Ella via the train tracks. Great spot.
